Quite a number of bugs here and there compared to the PS4 original edition, but still very much playable
Often times, the dialog is delayed from when it should be firing as suggested by the subtitles
The water has strong artifacting
I'll sometimes get framerate drops down to 10 FPS when swinging through the city -- of which I should not be getting on a 3090 Ti.
I've had the game crash on me once or twice during gameplay, but I haven't experienced it consistently enough to determine the cause
Since I have not played this game on Windows (and don't plan to), I'm comparing my experience to that of the original PS4 edition (the non-remastered). The bugs I am experiencing can very well be bugs with the PC port in general, not particularly Linux Proton bugs.
Amazing game, amazing runtime
I was able to play the entire game on my Steam Deck from start to finish with no issues (other than getting accustomed to gamepad controls; I originally played on keyboard and mouse).
Runs amazing on Steam Deck after waiting for the startup
The game takes longer than expected to start up, but once the game has launched, gameplay is smooth
I'm not sure why it's reported as "Unsupported" by Valve, because I have had no issues that would prevent me from playing the game. Aside from the slower-than-normal launch time, the game runs amazingly.
A couple of small bugs and initial configuration, but nothing that can't be gotten around
The "Other Timeline View" seemed to flicker depending on the viewing angle
The game launches at an odd resolution and requires touchscreen/mouse input assistance to fix.
When starting up the game, the first thing to do is to change the resolution, which requires mouse or touchscreen input to apply. The game also fails to mention that the time portals are bound to Right Bumper. Slightly confusingly, the blue and orange portals are inverted between the crosshair and the triggers. But overall, game runs smoothly, and after getting around those little details, would be great on the Steam Deck.

Controller bindings are not displayed properly, thus requiring looking through the game menu or trying different buttons
The game provides a small subset of possible resolutions, of which my main monitor is not included, and the game does not start at native resolution. One will need to manually specify monitor resolution in launch options.
Playing with friends was as easy as sending an invite and joining. Had some issues with ladders/scaffolding getting stuck when trying to pick it up, but the other I was playing with had the same issues so that seemed to be a non-Linux issue.
This game runs amazingly on Linux with Proton, even obtaining an FPS boost over playing in Windows.
Other than having to navigate the menu with keyboard in fullscreen, the game runs very well.
The mouse does not respond in menus in fullscreen, so clicking on options does nothing unless in windowed mode.
Works great on the Steam Deck
The initial configuration popup requires mouse input. Using the touchscreen also works.
Aside from having to use a mouse or the touchscreen to confirm launcher options, the experience on the Steam Deck is analagous to playing on a computer with a controller.
Intro Scene Freezes
Unfortunately, there is a nasty bug that is causing the game to freeze and crash during the intro sequence. I have tried various versions of Proton (Experimental, 9.0-3, 8.0-5 and 7.0-6) with no luck. Tried various video settings (resolution, quality, windowed/fullscreen, VSync, etc.), but the only way I could get past it was to play the intro in Windows.
Crashes in Intro Scene and any TV-Screen Cutscene
Unfortunately, there is a nasty bug that is causing the game to freeze and crash during the intro sequence, as well as other areas that involve a cutscene displayed on a TV screen (such as in Act 6).
I have tried various versions of Proton (Experimental, 9.0-3, 8.0-5 and 7.0-6) with no luck. Tried various video settings (resolution, quality, windowed/fullscreen, VSync, etc.), but the only way I could get past it was to play those parts in Windows.
Works with the latest Ubuntu
This is an update to my previous report where I had said the game freezes upon any TV scene. After upgrading my OS to its latest version (which was a major update involving a new Ubuntu base: from Focal Fossa to Jammy Jellyfish), I have had no problems with the game whatsoever.
This crash had also affected other games like PC Building Simulator. So glad that the resolution was just an updated OS!
