For the GOG version, Heroic and Junk Store don't seem to work with this game. To Launch the GOG version of this game (with Ray Tracing!), 1)go to gog.com and download the "Part 1" download of the latest version of the game, it should be a small ~1 MB file, 2) open Lutris, click "+", then "Install a Windows Game from an Executable", then type in "Pumpkin Jack" for the name, click "Install", click "install" again, click "continue", click "..." and navigate to the file you just and navigate to the file you just downloaded, click install one more time 3) Now, after a few seconds, the "setup" app for the game should open, go through the prompts, and the installer will download the game, and unlike Heroic, install all required dependencies. After this, launch it thorugh Lutris, or Steam, and it should work great!

The game did not recognize the Deck's screen definition at first, see below.
The game runs well, very well even. But following the splash screens (which show properly), the menu would appear in a small black box on the top left corner of my screen. After changing Proton layers several times, nothing seemed to fix it. I instead used the touchscreen controls to go into the settings and they were showing no resolution at all, which seems to be a bug. After setting it to the proper resolution, the game displayed correctly and remembered my setting every subsequent launch. Otherwise, it's a good experience with some occasional (but unpredictable) stutter. It advises capping it at 40 or 45 fps.

Plays great but expect some slowdowns and to have very little battery life if you play it without changing settings
Kept the Deck plugged in. Others have suggested to lower graphics settings.
Noticable slowdowns in certain sections of the game.
The game plays well but it's also unoptimized with some slowdowns affecting gameplay but not to any extreme extent. Also the battery life for this game is really bad and I had to have the Deck plugged in to play or else I would never be able to finish a level.

Runs out of the box.

-dx11
Gamescope: Framelimit 45fps/90hz, FSR, Sharpness 3
Game settings: 720p, windowed, no fps cap, no vsync, med shadow, med post processing, HDR on

-d3d11
HDR is broken in DX12 mode. Add the launch option "-d3d11" to force the game to run in DX11 (or use the DirectX Launcher to select manually on every launch (it will not remember your selection))
Seems to run well on Steam Deck with Shadow Quality set to Low (didn't make any other changes other than enabling HDR). Lock it to 45 fps on the OLED or 40 fps on LCD as it won't quite lock to 60 fps with these settings.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%

Be sure to change resolution to match SD refresh on first boot.

Works perfectly at 60fps when undocked, but when docked to a TV I got significantly lower FPS regardless of settings.

It's an action adventure. Traverse different obstacles and terrain, fight monsters, and collect crow skulls. Perfect for Holloween season!
There's several transitions that kick out of full screen and back in. The main one is when you die and restart at a save point.
set refresh rate and fps to 40 set shadows to low
It just runs and it's fun.
Runs out of the box
Ray-tracing also works 100% fine
Only towards the end of the game.
Slowdown in some areas.
Manually change graphics, the game have heave FPS drops in some areas for no apparent reason.
Lower graphic settings and resolution.
FPS drops.
I've lowered some graphics settings to be able to hit a higher fps
By default, the fps drops to 20-30 in some areas.
Even though I've beaten all bosses 2 times, I still haven't got "The Bigger They Are..." achievement. Maybe there's something particular I should be doing, but even after I've watched a walkthrough I couldn't get it.
The game runs fine out of the box, but I highly recommend you set the frame rate of the deck to 30-40 in order to prevent sudden drops of fps. Otherwise, if you want to keep a constant 60 fps, I would suggest you drop the Shadow Quality to Low. That's the only setting I've changed and the game ran smoothly overall.
gamemoderun %command%
%command% -dx11
Launching from steam with no modification I've got an error about dx12. With using "%command% -dx11" in launch option, the game is working fine
Works great out of the box
Works out of the box
Works perfectly fine out of the box.
Finished game without issues
Depending on your graphic settings, the game might not be able to hit 60fps
(It runs perfectly fine at 30 with RTX on though)

Game runs fine with default lutris-ge-6.21-1-x86_64 from GloriousEggroll github no custom settings were applied.
wine-ge-6.21-1-x86_64 GloriousEggroll
Using wine-ge-6.21-1-x86_64
Alt+Tab did NOT work but other than that ran perfect.
Tested with Xbox Series X controller mid game and worked out of the box.
Tried with GE Proton and switching between dx11 and dx12, none seemed to work :(

5.9-GE-8-ST GloriousEggroll
Set to Windows 7 in winecfg
Game does work with Steam Proton, but cutscenes are not viewable.
To fix cutscenes:
- Use GE Proton
- Change Windows version to 7 via winecfg (WINEPREFIX="$HOME/path/to/prefix" winecfg)
- Choose DirectX Launcher after clicking Play
- Change from DirectX12 to DirectX11
Credit to eth0OS for his fix: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4312

Installs, runs with directx launcher, but no game.
Game installed. You need to run with directx launcher. select directx1. No sound on menu. Start game and black screen.
The game runs perfectly, but as stated the first cut scene will not play. Hold space to exit it.

Gameplay works perfectly. Very fun game. Watch cutscenes on YouTube.
Pre-rendered cutscenes (such as the one that ties to play when starting a new game) do not work, showing only a black screen. Hold space to skip.
Proton 5.13-1
the game runs out of the box
Kinematics not shown

The game has bad controls, but that aside, the game (demo) functions as intended.
Menu items can be highlighted with the mouse but can't be clicked, press enter to select a highlighted item. Intro cut scene has no video, only audio, and must be bypassed by holding space at the end to start playing.

Game opens to a back screen
