(SteamVR beta 1.5.15 / Vive / 8BitDo NES30Pro)
Opens to a black screen which I can only assume is an intro failing to play, and you need to press a button on the controller to get past it. Runs fine otherwise, although the VR perspective isn't fun...
(SteamVR beta 1.5.15 + Vive + 8BitDo NES30Pro)
Played offline, worked perfectly.
(Runs with SteamVR beta 1.2.3) Able to add some geometry but the editing tools only work on the first attempt and fail to interact with objects afterwards. Many actions (eg. adding models) will cause it to freeze and become unresponsive.
(SteamVR beta 1.4.1 / Vive + Wands) Modifying geometry only works on the first attempt and fails to react afterwards, adding a few cubes and selecting the modify tool caused it to freeze.
Unable to play under Proton 6.3-7 due to some sort of networking error. Got stuck at the "Unleashing Monkey Sun God" stage of the startup.
Logs show:
Curl error 6: Could not resolve host: static-api.nkstatic.com Ping: Error performing ICMP transmission. Possibly because of a timeout
Works perfectly.
My previous report had a non-standard network setup, and that can prevent the game from starting. It was resolved after returning to a single ethernet connection via. NetworkManager... Not sure what to make of it since all other applications were working but it did clearly interfere with Proton.
I'm only adding this report to help other users, but the bleeding-edge beta of Proton Experimental has allowed me to log into the multiplayer server. I have not tested the functionality beyond that...
Fails to install "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5", which then causes "Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1" to fail as well.
(SteamVR beta 1.2.6) Playable.
Intro sequence had some minor audio crackling, tutorial sections are missing videos, the stutter from shaders compiling will probably ruin your first attempt at a map but races appear playable once cached.
Not working with Proton 6.3-7 or Experimental at time of posting.

(SteamVR beta 1.3.7) Works perfectly, played in SteamVR mode with an 8Bitdo NES30 PRO controller.
Crashes just after the title screen and one second of audio.
Tried all the proton versions I could with the same result.
It was crashing before it reached the menu, and the next time it asked me whether I wanted to use local saves or remote saves from the steam cloud.
With the dialog still present, before clicking anything. I deleted everything in:
~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/41500/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/runic games/torchlight/
You might want to backup the save files you want to keep intact, but after doing that I clicked the option to use local saves and the game recreated all the files. It now works perfectly!
