This is one of the best native Linux games. Optimization is at the highest level, no problems in the game. Maximum graphics settings, not a single problem except for extremely rare freezes (probably when loading levels). Otherwise, FPS is extremely stable, and stays at the monitor frequency. In general, the gameplay is as comfortable as possible, I recommend the game to absolutely everyone!

So, first you need to install Proton GE. None of the standard versions of Proton on Steam launch the game (the game closes immediately after launch). The first launch can be quite long, it took me about 3-5 minutes to launch, you just have to wait. In the game itself, without modifications, I did not notice any problems. With maximum graphics settings, the performance is perfect. I don't have a controller to test it, however, there is nothing wrong with the keyboard. It's probably worth testing the game more deeply, but I can say that everything is perfect in my case.
gamemoderun ./BinLinux/BeamNG.drive.x64
On my hardware, regardless of the version of the game (Native/Proton): the screen flickers in black depending on the scene.
I tried running the game via Steam (Proton), and using a native executable file. In all cases, the performance of the native version is slightly better, but everything works very well through Proton, too. On my computer, the screen flickers black, regardless of the version of the game. For the most part, this can be fixed by enabling VSync in the game and limiting FPS to the monitor frequency. In this case, flickering almost does not happen. It's strange that the developers haven't added a native version to Steam - it's just as good, if not better.

Solid color during cutscenes and the end of matches
The game works well out of the box, all the multiplayer features are working. I played with a friend for about an hour, I didn't notice any problems, the performance is excellent at maximum graphics settings. Apart from the graphics bug in the cutscenes and the ends of the matches, there are no problems.

The game works perfectly immediately after installation, the multiplayer works without any problems. I was playing with a friend, everything is perfect!

Set "FRAME_RATE_LIMIT": 4 in GraphicOptions.json
It works perfectly, with only extremely rare micro-freezes at the beginning of the game. Absolutely perfect performance at maximum settings on my hardware, without modifications.

The game works out of the box. I haven't tested the game natively, but on my configuration, on Linux, the game runs incredibly smoothly and without any problems. I'll assume that it works better than native. I have set the maximum graphics settings, with the DirectX 12 API. The performance is just incredible, for an hour and a half of the game I did not notice a single drop in FPS or problem.
Works perfectly OTB
FPS drops when grenades explode
The game works perfectly out of the box on DX11. I didn't have to install anything manually. The performance is perfect, apart from FPS drops during grenade explosions, probably due to smoke, and it's probably not a problem playing on Linux.

ONCE I caught a bug with the inability to deploy the game in fullscreen using a keyboard shortcut
I've tested Metro Exodus multiple times on Linux. The Enhanced Edition has stability issues, including frequent FPS drops and other performance problems. Additionally, during my first installation of the standard edition (not Enhanced), I encountered a serious bug where the game would freeze when attempting to save settings. After a complete reinstallation, this issue was resolved completely and hasn't returned since.
In contrast, the native version of the standard edition works flawlessly out of the box. I'm running with maximum graphics settings, full ray tracing enabled, and PhysX activated. The performance is SIGNIFICANTLY better than on Windows. I've also tested the "Sam's Story" DLC and can confirm perfect stability from the beginning.
I'll submit a follow-up report after completing a full playthrough of the game.
The game is partially working, but it seems unplayable.
SDL_AUDIODRIVER=alsa gamemoderun %command%
Tested the native Linux version of Metro Last Light Complete Edition. There are two major issues:
Complete absence of audio throughout the game. Tested numerous launch parameters including SDL_AUDIODRIVER=pulse/alsa, and various other audio configurations, but none resolved the issue.
Stability problems - some of launch attempts result in the game completely freezing at the "Press any key" splash screen with no error messages.
Despite having working audio in other games on my system, Metro Last Light remains completely silent. Attempted various fixes including audio environment variables and configuration adjustments without success.
The native version is currently unplayable due to these issues. Would not recommend in its current state.

Edited user.cfg - set ph_advanced_physX to 0
PhysX causes significant FPS drops.
Previous experience: I previously tested the native Linux version which had two major issues: complete absence of audio and stability problems (game freezing at splash screen). The native version was unplayable.
Current setup: Now testing with custom Proton GE. Performance and audio: Sound works perfectly. Performance is ideal with one important exception - PhysX causes significant FPS drops.
Required tweaks: Edit user.cfg file and set ph_advanced_physX 0 Additionally, make sure to disable PhysX in the in-game menu
Results: After these adjustments, FPS consistently stays above 120 on maximum settings. While I'm only in the early stages of the game, the difference before and after these tweaks is substantial. The game runs extremely well now.
Recommendation: Highly playable through Proton GE with these minor tweaks. The experience is significantly better than the native Linux version.
In full-screen mode: sometimes the cursor does not lock, and moves to the second monitor
I finished the game completely, on Linux, I didn't notice any problems, it works perfectly.

On Nvidia without GameMode: FPS drops to almost 0 after several game collapses or Alt+Tab
Overall, the game works perfectly out of the box, but GameMode makes the game (at least on Nvidia) as stable as possible. The game works natively on Vulkan, and the performance is incredibly high. Multiplayer also works.
It won't start. Different versions of Proton have been tested.
The game is absolutely broken. When you click the play button, absolutely nothing happens. I tried to run different versions - recommended Proton, GE-Proton9-25, PortProton - there is simply no game window. I don't recommend wasting time on this game.
Unable to connect to the servers
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
It is not possible to connect to any server. The developers have not enabled Wine/Proton support in EasyAntiCheat, although this is not a problem for them. There are also serious performance problems - unstable FPS in the menu, FPS drops. I haven't tested servers without EAC yet, so the performance in the game itself is unclear.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Time after time, extremely large FPS drops when opening the inventory. There are occasional freezes or FPS drops during the game.
Extreme impact on the stability of the system - sometimes plasmashell crashes during the game, after a while during the game there are complete browser freezes, the inability to open new windows (for example, it is impossible to view an image in Telegram Desktop), the inability to drag and interact with windows in the Steam overlay.
And so, I deployed my local server without EAC and played with friends for a few days. You can play, but the game behaves extremely unstable, consumes a lot of RAM and affects the stability of the system itself. Of the advantages, I can note the graphics - they are very beautiful, it seems to me, much better than native. However, the disadvantages outweigh, and the developers just need to fix all the problems!
Excellent native version
Native Linux version of the game, works without any problems out of the box

On the Nvidia graphics card: significant freezes, serious FPS drops, extremely unstable frametime chart, regardless of the DirectX version
In general, the game works fine on Linux. However, there are problems with Nvidia graphics cards (i think it's driver issue) - very serious performance problems. I also tested the game on my PC by temporarily replacing the graphics card with the RX 5700 XT by installing the AMDGPU driver. In such a combination, the game works perfectly. It even seems to me that it works more stable than natively. Not a single freeze/lag/FPS drop. However, the problems on Nvidia need to be solved. I tested the game on both graphic cards (RTX 3070 Ti and RX 5700 XT) on same graphic settings - maximum settings, Full HD.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Absolutely perfect performance. I think it's better than native. The game settings are low-medium, the frame rate is above 90 fps. Works out of the box.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game works perfectly without any modifications. Tested on two devices, and my friends on Linux also talk about the excellent work of the game. Just install and play!
The native version of the game, using the Vulkan API. It works perfectly on my hardware, maximum graphics settings. Just the perfect native version.
Perfect work out of the box
The game works perfectly out of the box. I installed a mod to add Russian localization, the game did not affect the work in any way. It works as the native version, no problem!
Works perfectly
It works perfectly out of the box, the only problem is that by default the game does not see saves from the first season, you need to transfer manually. Otherwise it works perfectly!
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game works flawlessly out of the box. Performance and optimization are excellent, even on absolute maximum graphics settings. The full client with ultra-quality models (approximately 120GB) runs perfectly. No special configuration required for the native Linux version. The game installs and runs without any issues. The only limitation at the moment is that ray tracing features are not available in the native Linux version. According to the developers, these features will be added to the Linux version at a later date. War Thunder is one of the best native Linux games available. The experience is outstanding with no performance issues, crashes, or significant limitations that affect gameplay.
Also tested on my laptop
After trying War Thunder on my desktop, I gave it a spin on my laptop as well. Same great experience overall! Using the standard client (about 60GB instead of the ultra-quality models) and running on medium settings. No special launch parameters needed - just installed and played. Gets over 120 FPS consistently on my 144Hz laptop screen in pretty much any situation. Never drops frames, no stutters, zero crashes. Really impressed that it runs this smoothly on laptop hardware too. Runs perfectly without any tweaking needed!
