audio was out of sync for a few cutscenes
fulscreen tanked the fps to 15
18-25 fps on low, borderless setting
received "error game crashed" one time i left it running in the main menu
input latency on fullscreen setting
When the game starts up it feels borked, running on 15 fps with input latency and some cutscenes were completely out of sync.
Changing the game to borderless and low graphics increases fps to 18 - 25 fps and fixed the input latency, but the cutscene was still out of sync. The game seemed to not use the full potential of the steam deck but was still failing to get a decent frame rate so i installed the cryoutility 2.0 which increased the fps to 30-50 and finally fixed the voice sync issue, but it was still not using all the resources of the steamdeck. I was trying to play this game docked with a resolution of 1080p but when docked the fps dropped to 15. Disabling the fps limiter increased it to 18-25 but the sync issue came back. Upon further investigation I noticed that the gpu was running at 1600 mhz (thats the max) from the moment of opening the game. I then installed the Power Tools plugin from Decky Loader and disabled the SMT option which then brought the GPU usage down to 1300-1450 MHZ and finally fixed the sync and frame issue while being docked.
In the end I was able to get a stable 42 fps with a low of 30 and a high of 60 while being docked.
TLDR: Change graphics to borderless Disable frame limit for docked usage Install Cryo Utilities 2.0 Install Decky Loader Install Power Tools plugin from DL disable SMT option within PT
End Result: 42 fps Ram 5.6 Gb VRam 3.1 Gb CPU 31% - 3300 Mhz GPU 99% - 1400 Mhz

game originally ran in 15 fps in the main menu
input latency
game feels borked at first with a main menu fps of 15, massive input latency and a huge voice sync issue with the cutscene of meeting the crew at the beginning. when changing the screen to borderless it finally starts functioning with 18-25 fps and loses the input latency that previously made me fail the breathing skill check i noticed that my device was not being used to the full of its potential as cpu was at 50% vram usage was only 2.8 gb and ram of 5.1 whitch indicates that there is a compatibility issue where something is causing a bottleneck. afterinstalling and setting up the cryoutilities 2.0 with the recommended settings, the fps jumped to 45-55 and this finally fixed the audio sync issue i was experiencing.

doesnt launch from exFAT ssd
doesn't launch from exFAT SSD (House of ashes also doesn't start)

No issues. Works fine.
The game is not that good tho.
The game runs on max settings, no crashes, no issues. Played in DX12 with VKD3D.
Performance is very bad at times definitely bordering on the unejoyable low fps experience
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=40 %command%
Text is a bit small to read at times when making choices
Performance tanks bad in Fullscreen, best to stick to Borderless
It is very slow at times dipping down in to the 20fps range
Expect low performance if playing on steam deck.
Shadows set to "ultra" causes significant drop in framerate in certain scenes, had to set them to "normal" to get consistent framerate.
Works out of the box including videos with default Proton. For better performance I used latest Proton Experimental bleeding edge and played the game in DX11 mode, and framecapped to 40fps using "DXVK_FRAME_RATE=40 %command%" for consistency.
Note that the game in current state has many bugs that are not Proton specific. For example fell through the map at one spot, item hud and button prompts stopped suddenly working (can be fixed by exit to main menu/reloading the game). Also the game performed worse overall compared to the previous ones.
This game runs great without much tinkering. I recommend using GE-Proton 7-41 with DXVK async enabled for the smoothest experience.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Experienced light artifacting when running in DX12.
