Works perfectly
It works perfectly out of the box, the only problem is that by default the game does not see saves from the first season, you need to transfer manually. Otherwise it works perfectly!
Works perfectly fine out of the box, requires a console command for Season 1 save import.
Had no issues overall playing the game. If you want to import your Season 1 save file however, you need to go into desktop mode and peform this command in Konsole: cp -r ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/207610/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My\ Documents/Telltale\ Games/The\ Walking\ Dead ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/261030/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My\ Documents/Telltale\ Games/The\ Walking\ Dead
Would reccomend just opening firefox and copy and pasting this command directly to avoid the pain of the deck keyboard.
No issues
TDP 5W, default settings
cloud save from the first game needed to be manually imported via a Windows PC
Runs well at 60fps most of the time. Minor issues importing part1 save game
Works great, just follow the guides to carry over choices from Season 1.
If you want your choices from Season 1 to be carried over, you'll need to copy the Season 1 save files into the Season 2 folder (both folders are found in their respective game's compatdata folder). Others have posted links to guides to do this below.
The game randomly crashed a few times, especially during episode 3. Autosaves are fairly frequent so it's not that big a deal.
On one occasion in episode 1, the cursor and dialogue options disappeared completely, but they came back shortly afterwards. Other than that I had no other bugs or glitches.
When launching the game on Proton 8.0-4, I encountered square and oversized character shadows. Proton GE fixed the issue.
I transferred my saves from Season 1 by copying them from compatdata/207610 directory to compatdata/261030.
I also set the screen resolution to 1280x800.
When I first started the game, the resolution was 1024x768.
Audio crackles a lot and at one point missed dialogue due to a skip in audio
Shadows were messed up
Had to use a konsole command to get the game to load my S1 save
Shadows were all messed up but switched to 4.11-13 and that fixed it just like tales from the borderlands
Audio has some crackling and skipped 1 line of dialogue but overall playable
Plays perfectly out of the box.
Worked perfect! Save file from previous entry needs copying from 207610 compatdata folder into 261030 in order to import saves
Full play-through with a DS3 controller
Shadows big and blocky
During one QTE scene, I had to remap to keyboard to get through it as controller input wasn't recognised. This was the only time I had an input issue and has been fine before/since.
Shadows annoying but can ignore it after a bit (somewhat). Hopefully someone finds a launch tweak to fix. Very playable otherwise
Large, flickering, blocky shadows cast by everything.
Shadows are annoying, but still playable
Blocky shadows affecting gameplay visuals
Used this command to import save from The Walking Dead cp -r ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/207610/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My\ Documents/Telltale\ Games/The\ Walking\ Dead ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/261030/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My\ Documents/Telltale\ Games/The\ Walking\ Dead
Finished game without issues
To import save file from Season 1 to Season 2.
While looking for Sarah in chapter 4 the shadows weren't aligned with the characters. Neither were they correct. The shadows were just boxes moving as the characters moved.
For importing Season 1's save to Season 2.
After a cutscene the game didn't proceed. I was left on the cutscene's screen. Fixed after I loaded my previous save.
not launching. tried all proton versions
Runs flawlessly. How to keep your saved games from Season1 (and 400 days): https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/339101

Glitchy character shadows
Runs perfectly out of the box
First part of the game series used to crash quite often on my setup but this part worked flawlessly.
Perfect!
The savegame from season1 must be copied manually to retrieve previous choices.
RUN PERFECTLY
No issues what so ever. Runs very well!
Runs very well but the game pad doesn't work.
Flawless. No issues at all.
Runs Perfectly
Complete entire game, no problems
Flawless.
The game itself runs perfectly. The only issue is when you import the save from Season 1. Since both games have their own prefix, you have to manually copy over the saves from one prefix to the other.
Controller not detected.
No crashes or bugs so far.
