I have dual screen, mouse input was only detected on one screen
-noWorkshop
Game crashes, SteamDeck reboots. Tried new map and loading existing. Tried with -noWorkshop to ensure mods not loaded, but same results
Game frequently crashes
Game would crash during the3rd or 4th mission of the GDI campaign in Tiberian Dawn
Game runs and performs well, no drops in FPS or other graphical glitches. After repeatedly playing the first 3 or 4 missions without any issues, the game will crash back to desktop during gameplay of the 4th or 5th mission on the GDI campaign on Tiberian Dawn.
Required changing to Proton Experimental. On recommended the game window was briefly displayed and the process quite thereafter.
Mouse not captured (occasional, on dual screen)
Broken by Easy Anti Cheat
Easy Anti Cheat bar loads to 100% but goes no further.
Default installs Linux client which is no longer supported, need to specify to run under Proton to install up to date version.
Three launch attempts got the game loaded to menu
Origin install required, even via Steam.
Took three attempts to get beyond the Origin starting up, once that started up the game launched fine, however when I received invite to play the game (via Origin) the game UI stopped responding - music continued.
Assuming this is an issue with the Origin overlay. Unable to close the game other than by killing processes.
Game worked out of the box, zero issues. Touch screen works as expected, useful in this type of game.
Game installed, splash screen seen
After the initial view of the splash screen, got to a black screen.
Force killed it after that. Never saw the splash screen, received some .NET errors
Tried following Proton versions:
- 6.3.8
- 7.0rc6-GE-1
- 7.1-GE-2
Game loads, but cannot get beyond main menu
Tried different Proton versions, tried 64 and 32 bit editions, same result.
The only change I made was setting this to Proton Experimental. Tested on 2 tracks and 2 engines. No issues.
Have tried to play this game a few times and it had always failed at the menu screen. Decided to give it another go and it worked after setting to Proton Experimental.
No issues seen during game play.
Initially had big problems with the sound, however the most recent updates to the game seem to have resolved this issue.
I don't own this game on Steam, I own it on GoG.
Playing in Win7 mode only.
