You can't see the game if you do Alt-Tab
Performance and stability is amazing! The only issue is when I do Alt-Tab the game turns black and i can't see the scene, only the game mouse cursor, and have to reopen the game.
Proton is always developing so if its not working to day maybe next week it will. You have to try some. In the most games Proton works!
installed a couple of times. works like normal on 1600x900 but crashes on full screen. Also crashes on 1920x1080.
older proton versions seems to not working. I also upgrated my graphic driver to find a cure

Game would start blanking out the screen at regular intervals.
Couldn't exit the starting cabin in one game - pressing "A" to go left would make my character walk funny. WSD all worked as expected.
Framerate was inconsistent, and tweaking the graphics settings could cause the game to start blinking black.

Works flawlessly after last update
There used to be a problem with Vivox but it is now fixed and the game runs just like on Windows
Like some of the previous posters, I was on the Linux troubleshooting discord since it was created, and cannot thank the devs enough for getting out of their way to fix this issue. Excellent game, and now I'm able to play on my hi-specs Linux machine rather than my crappy windows laptop !
Project Winter now runs like native on Linux.
As part of the linux troubleshooting channel in the official Project Winter Discord channel, I am now happy to say that Project Winter runs like native on Linux.
With the help of the community we manage to figure out and dissect what the issue was and the devs went out of their way to fix it. A huge shout out to the Project Winter devs for caring about the Linux community. Cheers!
Voice chat now works since latest update (which brings Basic mode). So game can now be played under proton with no issues

Currently without microphone support I wouldn't recommend playing this game as it takes a lot of the intended gameplay out.

Missing VoIP makes this game not very enjoyable even with teamspeak, discord etc.
VoIP is not working
Lack of Voice Chat makes this game hard to play well.
Voice Chat Status shows as "Disconnected". As a result, it is not possible to hear the other players or to talk to them. The game is about cooperation and this makes the game difficult to play.
Multiplayer is marked down because of voice chat. We had three people playing from three different cities and it worked well but we needed to use Jitsi to communicate.

Game opens on a secondary monitor, but could be moved to the primary. Also when it opens to the secondary monitor, attempts to switch to windowed mode crashes the game since the value is -1.
Game is centered around communication, so a broken voice chat destroys the whole purpose. Unenjoyable due to ruined gameplay.
Voice chat is completely broken. You cannot talk, nor can you hear other people talk. Given the design of this game, this completely ruins the experience.
If you can use a separate voice service, like Mumble with positional audio, then it's fine.
Voice does not work at all. Voice input or output does not work, so you cannot use the microphone or hear other players.
