after adding PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 to the launch options game did run well, before it had significant lag and stutter.
after setting PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 in the launch options game run fine.
runs fine, but some achievements are not counted (postcards and diamond helmets for example). I see the counter (in steam) for the These Romans are crazy! trophy and for a few others, but not for the mentioned trophies.
intro works, after that the game crashes.
doesn't matter if i disable esync and it doesn't matter if proton 3.16 or 4.2
Proton-5.9-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
nothing is clickable after alt tabbing out of the game
crashes after every mission
game starts, flower logo is visible, sound is recognizable, but if i move my mouse left the flower logo flys to the right, same as clicking the left mouse buttons.
i can reach options menu by pressing esc.
nothing else is doable as far as i can see.
game crashes on start
using proton 5.0-9 (next)
a window pops up saying:
Unfortunately the game has crashed. Do you want to help us fix the issue by sending a crash report?

you can make it work if you either add
0.0.0.0 see-siren.os.eidos.com
0.0.0.0 see-siren-prod.os.eidos.com
to your /etc/hosts or use this tool https://github.com/JsBergbau/BindToInterface like this:
git clone git@github.com:JsBergbau/BindToInterface.git
cd BindToInterface
gcc -nostartfiles -fpic -shared bindToInterface.c -o bindToInterface.so -ldl -D_GNU_SOURCE
then add this to the games startup options:
BIND_INTERFACE=lo LD_PRELOAD="/location/to/BindToInterface/bindToInterface.so:$LD_PRELOAD" %command%

runs perfect if you use proton 3.7-8, every version above didn't work
you have to use proton 3.7-8 (i didn't test versions smaller than that), every version above crashes the game on the first fight in story mode.
sound is too loud, sound getting worse depending on the direction my character looks
i installed the game with steam, then run origin launcher with lutris and imported the game from the steam install dir into it. now you can start it with only launching origin launcher via lutris (after you linked your steam and ea account). i'm using lutris-jedi-4.20 wine version. i'm also using linux-ck from aur with manually added fsync patch.
if the stuttering is continously you won't have a lot of fun.
if the controller is used with bluetooth stuttering is a lot more heavier, used with usb cable its getting better (xbox one s controller with xpadneo driver). similar symptoms on windows.
origin launcher like to overwrite savegames and you can click new game only, not continue. don't use their cloud!
stuttering all the time
Proton-5.1-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
disabled steam input to make it work using xpadneo driver
uplay starts, i see the steep uplay loading screen, i get a black screen, it crashes. i disabled uplay overlay.
uplay starts, you can hear the intro sound, as soon as you hit enter to start the game you hear the game accepting the command and then it crashes
first hours works pretty well, then it starts to crash a lot.
there are missing backgrounds in the cutscenes
after around 15 hours of gameplay the games starts to crash a lot
i had to install proton 3.16 Beta first (steam client told me i use 3.16-7, but i wasn't). in steam under library - tools - proton 3.16 Beta. i also disabled uplay overlay in uplay client.
uplay starts, i don't get the uplay trials rising loading screen, nothing more happens
starts, i can see the intro and the main menu, but it crashes when connecting to ubisoft services
