PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
The game is unstable even at the title screen without the launch commands.

PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
no audio
grass tiling
default launch option was bogus, switched to proton latest and set launch options
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Loads the main menu fine, but trying to actually start playing gets stuck on a black screen on both Deck and desktop

On my first playthrough, the game started without audio. I restarted the game, and all of the issues resolved themselves.
The inital cutscene of the city during the loading screen tends to have some stuttering and lag, but the game itself is totally fine.
I finished the first few levels without any techincal issues. I'm definitely coming back to finsih the rest.

Had to change proton version, launched once with an error but after a restart worked perfectly
Proton 8.0-5. Full ultra graphics
I've completed Flower without issues using Proton 9.0 (RC-2)

When I ran it using the current Proton 8.0-5, there was sound crackling and stopping during the game. After switching to Proton Experimental there were no further problems.

Endless black screens prevent me from beginning to play. Tried GE, too, through 6.0.

May work for some, doesn't for me.
Black screen, then closes immediately
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
A great chill game. With the defsault proton, it was all jut streaks of colors and looked like the Netflix intro. Changing the proton version fixed all the issues I was having.

Vsync is enabled by default, which makes the frame rate feel like 30 even though the Deck reports 60. Perfectly smooth 60 FPS with vsync disabled.
Default settings are medium, but the Deck can handle Ultra no problem, and still get good battery life. On the first level wth AA at 1, AF at 4, all Ultra - about 11W total power draw.
Played on the 512GB model

Plays perfectly, 220 fps. No audio issues. Latest proton handles sound better than 5.X, and i have rumble too in the gamepads.

With no tinkering, I had flickering artifacts on the grass, and streaks on some objects. Lowering settings did not make them disappear.
Finished game with no issues
Worked perfectly without having to change any settings.
I've had no graphics issues or audio crackling issues when using Proton 7.0-1 and the latest Proton Experimental version. Cutscenes play just fine and the performance is about the same as playing on Windows.
Cutscenes don't seem to work. The latest version of Proton that seems to work is 4.11.
Tested with Proton 5.0 and 5.13, and works fine with both. Getting playable framerates at 4k max settings.
As noted by others, requires PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 to fix audio.
Crashed after the main menu on the first run with proton 5.13, but ran perfectly every time after
After clicking Run, steam indicates the game is launching for a few seconds, but nothing happens.
Successfully finished the game. PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 is required to get sound (it's a cracking mess otherwise). Used older Proton (5.13-6) as mentioned by other reports. Overall almost perfect performance with occasional drops under 60 FPS (up to 35-40 FPS sometimes) on all-max settings and 4K resolution. Long black screens between levels, I guess cinematics. Some Alt-Tabbing will skip them. Didn't try Proton-GE yet, maybe it will fix everything and run perfectly (will post updated version then).
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 is required to fix sound
FPS sometimes dropped down to ~40, but was 60+ most of the time

The game just shows a black screen and crashes...
...even with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% and/or PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1, or older Proton version.
Proton 5.13-6 Works. But 6.3-4 Does NOT
Hard to find the correct configuration in the Graphic menu, without ending up into Black screen. Proton 5.13-6 Works, but not latest (regression). Works with: Fullscreen Enabled + VSync Enabled + 1920x1200 + MSAA 1 (to avoid screen flickering) + H H H + Anisotropy 8
Remember to alt-tab out for the missing Media Foundation cinematics. Has a few minor audio hiccups but is playable.
Some audio samples were too loud, like no post-fx was applied and lacked panning.
This game has fullscreen issues where the resolution is interpreted as the available desktop, not the resolution of the monitor. Requires switching between windowed and fullscreen a few times. This also messed up G-sync and Freesync.
A complete Media Foundation implementation is required to play the level intro cinematics. None of the current implementations were able to get the .m4v videos to play. Game freezes when the cinematic cannot be played. Esync off is also required.
The AVX instruction requirement is actually a valid one, considering I got a rock solid 60fps on my Ryzen 3600X but only 31fps on the Intel 4960X overclocked. This game requires a modern AVX2 CPU with strong AVX2 performance to maintain above 60fps. Remember to use PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 for fixing some audio problems.

You may need a few minor in-game graphics setting tweaks, and a launch option if you're having audio issues. It's otherwise very playable.
Like others, I had to use PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 in the launch options for sound effects to work. Audio seemed fine after using the launch option.
Some screen flickering was happening in fullscreen mode. I was able to resolve it by turning the MSAA down to 1 in the game's graphics option menu, and keeping the visual settings at either Medium or High. Ultra settings reintroduced some of the flickering for my particular hardware.
Fullscreen is initially offset when starting up the game, toggling to windowed mode and back to fullscreen via the game's graphics option menu fixes it.

Works like a charm with proton 5.0-6 in 3440*1440 with high level details
Just switch from "steam linux runtime" to "proton 5.0-6" to get sound without any tricky configuration

There was no music on the first run, but after quitting and restarting the game everything just worked perfectly.
There was a persistent full-screen flicker for the first minute or so, but it resolved itself and hasn't been a problem since.
`PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1` is required. Cut scenes don't work at all. Sound when passing over flowers is sometimes low quality.
Navi RADV artifacts gone with Mesa 19.3.2
The graphical artifacts I experienced with Mesa 19.3.1 are gone when updating to 19.3.2. I imagine it's due to the LOD artifact fix for Halo MCC (https://www.mesa3d.org/relnotes/19.3.2.html). Also tried running without the ESYNC workaround, and audio seems to work out of the box now (not sure what caused this).
So I would say it's pretty much perfect on Navi with Mesa 19.3.2 or later.
Had to disable ESYNC to get audio working
Some minor graphical glitches, nothing that detracts from the experience.

Work great, no tweaking required. Full playthrough.

After adding PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 to the launch options and trying the newer proton, it works like a charm.

When first time launching it goes through all the logos then a black screen with the title in the corner. It would seem all 2D images can render but not the 3D environment. The 3D rendering does not clear either so I get trails from the cursor. Pressing ESC gives me options. Second time launching will freeze or crash after the first logo. Trying to quit will freeze the game (force quit required).

works flawless now

Works out of the box, no issues switching between fullscreen and windowed with this Proton version.

Game works perfectly except that if switching between fullscreen/windowed mode, and then trying to move around the Window it glitches out. And window gets stuck beyond visible screen area.

Played through first three levels. Encountered issue with sounds not playing on first run, but worked correctly second run.

With the latest 4.2-4 update it works out of the box, performance is great.

Game works perfectly in Fullscreen, also tried with a Nintendo Switch Pro controller. In Windowed mode game is unplayable because the window is stuck off-screen.
