Increased the refresh rate.
(Taken from PCGamingWiki)
High frame rate Go to the configuration files location. Open GameUserSettings.ini. Add the line FrameRateLimit=120. Set to the desired frame rate. Save changes.
Works great. The refresh rate issue is not unique to linux, it is an issue on windows as well. But it can be easily fixed with some minor config editing.
Works flawlessly out of the box.

30 Hz limit, low settings
Some text are small
Some freeze when level loads
frequent crashes of the game (deck reboot)

Mouse movement is slightly laggy

runs like a native game
enable esync
Changed graphic settings preset to low, but kept resolution scaling at 100%. Capped framerate at 30.
Some text is pretty hard to read.
Even with my customized graphic settings, and at 30 fps, the game still uses a surprisingly high amount of power. But besides that, it runs and plays incredibly well on the deck.
No issues found
The steam deck can run the game on high, but I changed it to Medium and reduced some settings. Further limiting refresh rate and FPS to 40 helps saving power without changing the game experience.

Game works perfectly fine once mangohud is disabled. Game is capped at 62fps, and the performance is rock solid once shader cache is built.

Epic store version installed using heroic. Does not launch no matter the settings used.

Popup shows "DX11 feature level 10.0 is required"
Cannot start game
30fps cap, medium settings (shadow low) = 3.3 hrs

45-55 FPS
1649091650 GE-Proton7-14
Just 30 minutes of singleplayer.
Worked perfectly out of the box without requiring any tweaks. Played through the main campaign without any issues.
Just some minor loading stuttering when arrived at new location (2 sec)
Crash at launch

When I reduced graphics to "integrated", I don't think I experienced any crashes.
Haven't figured out a way to prevent the crashes when running decent graphics. So far tried:
- Proton Experimental (2021-01-09)
- Proton 5.13-4
- Proton 5.0-10
- Adding launch option "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%"
I'm going to start trying some 4.x proton options, but I'm not hopeful.
As long as you save frequently (in case of crash), it's fine
Runs alright
Some little stuttering
The game crashed when my computer went to sleep
Runs out of the box.
One crash to desktop so far.
Very good performance overall. A screen resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels, all graphics settings to maximum and vsync off results in 60+ fps. Stuttering and frame drop for exactly one second when entering a new area.
Crashes on start up
Works perfectly out of the box
Seems to be broken with Proton 5.0-5, game fails to start. But works fine with 4.11-13.
Great Game Runs Smooth
crashed straight away

sometimes loading saves crashes the game but it's very rare it only happened to me on the final mission after 10 hours of gameplay
mesa aco dev from valve, fsync enabled kernel
runs mostly fine the problem w/saves happens seldomly. Also when u are entering a new map it takes a few secs to load textures but is suppose that is normal.

Runs perfectly
No tweaks needed, no complaints
When loading a new area the game stutters and would on occasion crash to desktop. Adding the launch command "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%" prevented any further crashing after a full play through.
Crashes to desktop after loading new areas, but using no esync launch command prevents any further crashes (still stutters while loading)
The game seems quite graphically demanding for what it is. Minimum settings produced very poor performance for me, but custom settings with Visual Effects and Shadow Quality low and everything else medium/high produced a good performance overall.
Works out of the box!
freezes a bit some times

FPS are stable from 30 up to 60 fps depending on the settings of the GPU and game's. If you have problems starting the game, check if you can open vulkaninfo without any errors. If there are errors, try opening it with sudo rights after that try opening the game again. It worked for me, it seems vulkaninfo couldn't gather all information.

For people that game starts but suddenly closes it may be that something using Vulkan API can't gather needed information, open terminal and use vulkaninfo command if at there are some errors try opening it again but with sudo rights if the errors dissapeared try opening the game again, for me it worked. If it worked for you, you have to do that each time you turn on the computer or find a way to give it rights to execute so it doesn't require you to open it with sudo.
There was no major problems overall but the game randomly (after few hours of playing) shutsdown so I would recommend to save game more frequently, other than that I once had a problem when going to a shop the game did not create user interface but that happened only once, it may be just a game bug, simple restart and it worked perfectly.
I play on lowest settings and get minimum 30 fps with no tweaks up to 60 on Full HD Fullscreen, no sudden drops so be at ease. The OpenGL settings in Nvidia panel are set to high performance and PowerMizer Settings are set to Auto.

No problems running it on medium-high settings (if settings are to high for your hardware unreal engine games have a tendency to crash to desktop so keep that in mind). Depending on soundcard you may get some sound stuttering which is easily fixed with "PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=40 %command%" in launch options

the last proton version "Proton:4.11-2" breaks the game and crash at start. The game works fine and without a single problem with Proton 4.2-9

Game crashes when clicking on "Options" in the title-screen.

Entering a new map takes a couple of seconds to settle down but then plays flawlessly at max setting.
