Cutscenes sometimes don't sync with dialog
UPlay likes to sign you out after each session is shutdown

Small amounts of crackling especially with third party audio apps like discord
Tends to stutter a bit randomly, especially during saves/autosaves
If you plan on making a city and unsure about running native or proton try a test city first, cannot use load a proton city on native and vise versa.
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
its off center when not in fullscreen
occasional hiccups that last about a second
Indentured sservitude.
Only thing that you'd be hard pressed to get running on linux is proprietary VR software. So far, I'm liking it.

Here's hoping for magor native support in the future!
Wow. This runs fantastic compared to windows. no fixes needed or a framey buggy mess, just start and go, solid 60fps.
its a bit of a shocker that a game from like, what 2004? is able to run so well on modern software/hardware that isnt windows, and infact runs perfect in comparison to the bug ladened mess on the windows version
Sometimes the game tabs out and needs to be clicked on before inputs can be put in
Only once after a 4 hour sesh it started lagging behind then speeding up
yeehaw folks

Sometimes can slow down after awhile, can be fixed by entering then exiting photo mode
Crashes increase when fast traveling or loading up events/buildings
GE7-20 preformed worse without current launch line. Maybe something in GE7-19 made it more stable
you could "technically" play the game but the screen is black after you start a level
why do i do these things

used the lua menu mod
When first starting up it'll freeze and progress more and more with every start
An update must've fixed my branch of linux, don't get discouraged if it stops loading, keep starting it until it finishes, you'll be good from there(as far as I can tell)
every now and then it'll hiccup for a sec or get a tad framey before catching back up
Be sure to feed Gustave
Menus worked with little to no bugginess
Slowly but surely we're getting there
works perfectly fine without proton, thats a pretty bang up job considering the technical side of the game
videos are broke and corrupted
i was wrong on my first one(forgot to restart pc after gpu driver update)
When going from space or the buildings you build in to the space center the world loads in slowler than what it should but its only like a second or 2 delay
download steam linux runtime from your library, everything else tends to not work for some reason
If you can stomach wonked textures/animations and deal with above 30fps but sub 60fps its fine
The bay/ocean turns black, the facial animations tend to.. "mesh" weirdly
Tends to run at a slowish fps given my hardware
launching native GE and regular proton dont work. Proton experimental works fine
runs gorgeously(hiccups during cutscenes but not too bad)
textures wouldnt render fully sometimes so something could look way out of place on rare occasions
If you can forgive a few small bugs such as items being stuck to your hands in cutscenes or a not fully rendered texture here and there then its perfectly playable
Ain't perfect but sure as hell enjoyable
you'll encounter "hiccups" every now and then where the game will look like it crashed but give it about 15-30 seconds and it'll snap back to reality. Only had 1 crash through my playthrough.
3rd St Saints 4 life
mastercomfig(and maybe opengl) is an absolute must if you're playing natively, proton doesn't allow you to join servers.
-novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1 -precachefontchars -noquicktime
Had to download mastercomfig and opengl to get this working
We're getting there baby!
Ubisoft connect works and doesn't shutdown the games process

maybe a sign we're onto something? I notice that games the refuse to work usually force stops itself when not working, but this keeps going for some reason
If you crash from doing something try upgrading the GE Proton to a newer version
