On the current version of proton, it works great. Haven't encountered any crashing or bugs so far. Perfect game for Steam Deck!
Chat text and some menu text can be pretty small.
By The Beard! This is a great experience at default settings. Some UI elements are a little small, but it works great if you want to play this one on the go!
Text is a bit small and can't be customized, but not a deal breaker
Due to the small text, I don't think it should be Steam Verified, but still totally playable. It's a fun game that runs great at default setting. I've enjoyed playing on the deck.
Haven't run into any issues with this title. Installs and runs great right out of the box
This game works like a dream right out of the box. No tinkering required. I haven't run into any bugs, crashes, or glitches at all. This is the seamless experience casual users like me hope for with Steamdeck
Jumped between deck and desktop during my playthorugh, occasionally had to reset the resolution or camera invert settings, likely due to the cloud save data and difference in hardware, but otherwise everything else worked flawlessly.
Would not give this game Steams "playable" tag in it's current state. With some tinkering it might work for you ...until it doesn't
This is one of my favorite games in my Steam library, and overall it seems to run really well on Steamdeck, but in it's current state it's not a great experience on the deck due to random controller issues and incorrect controller icons. I encountered the commonly reported spinning camera issue, tried a few suggested fixes and different community controller layouts. No luck until I tried reinstalling the game, then it worked okay with default controls. However, after exiting to the main menu, the game randomly switched keyboard bindings giving me a different key prompt and I could't bring up the menu or start the game. Not recommended for a casual user
Played initially at default settings. It was really fun, but I was a little disappointed by the long load times between scenes, and after dying. Overall the gameplay felt good, but just a bit slow when compared to the original game. Switching to older version of Proton fixes any long load issues, and the whole game runs so much faster
You can fix the broken controller icons by changing to a basic gamepad layout instead of the "official" one. If this change was made by default this title could be verified. runs great!
The only quirk with this title is upon exiting, it takes a while to return to Steam OS menu unless you press B to exit. A little weird, but doesn't ruin the overall experience. Perfect choice for Steamdeck!
Game occasionally crashed after completing a level and transitioning back to the level select menu
was able to finish the game on Deck despite occasional crashes. The auto saves worked great, so no progress was ever lost.
