Crashes and EAC (B4B Beta version)
Tried with some parameters such as PROTON_USE_WINED3D or with Proton GE 6.14/6.12 and 6.10
Can't get to the menu
Doesn't launch (Scuffed Beta)
The Beta doesn't launch even with proton GE or other Proton versions
Screen shaking and a lot of missing backgrounds
Huge stutter
Crashes when saving the game
I can't run the game on the native version, everytime I press F1 or save the game, even at the very start of the game it crashes making the game unplayable
The game runs great with GE-Proton, basic proton was okay-ish but lower FPS and not as smooth framerates. Recommend using GE and gamemode!
40-60 FPS with my config (might not be a Linux problem as its the minimum requirement for the game but it still feels low for such a game)
Works great out of the box
Enjoy this fun game! :)
Nice to play on Linux but those fps drops are sometimes quite annoying when shooting or having to react quickly
FPS drops sometimes and lower fps than Windows (144 capped on Windows while 90ish fps on Manjaro)
Crash on launch
Can see the black splash screen and that's it. It crashes right after
Runs smoothly if you don't Alt+Tab Beware of mods if you use some, those can make your game crash on startup
When Alt+Tabbing you can end up with frame lost even if you have 100+ fps
Runs well if you don't mind not talking in the voice chat Also be careful of mods as the U35 has made many mods incompatible
Proton-6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.20-GE-1
Mic is not recognised
Some FPS drops I wouldn't have on Windows but it's still running fine
Crash on startup since update
Used to work perfectly but the game won't start anymore
Some artifacts probally due to FSR
Low FPS (only 60) on some maps but that might be
Very rare game crashes after finishing a freelancer mission, happened like twice on over 200 missions
Play this wonderful game on Linux my fellow assassins
Game crashes before showing the menu
Tried with Experimental, Proton 8.0, multiple Proton GE versions but none of those make the game launch. Game crashes instantly without even showing the menu...
Runs smoothly with the last version of proton
Alt + Tab doesn't work and when escaping or using Shift + Tab to open the steam ui, huge loss of FPS
Some crashes when picking some items or doing some events but when restarting, picking up the item or doing the event is fine Happened to me twice in more than 10 hours
The game experiences occasional freezes, but they are rare
Error with DX12 if you don't run with Proton 9.0 (beta) or GE. You need to use either of those or the game won't launch
Game is running good overrall, might experience some issues with audio and fps drops at times though
Audio seems low quality, not sure if it's a linux issue or the game's audio just sucks ass
Some rare fps drops but overall a pretty okay experience. Sometimes the game felt like 30 fps even though it was more than 90 so that was weird
Player have both the prop and their model sometimes
Coming back from Alt+Tab will lock your mouse sometimes so you'll have to alt tab again
Only with the Steam Proton
Huge FPS drops (50% less sometimes)
- Use the latest Proton GE version
- Set your texture settings to Low
- Turn V-Sync on
→ You'll get around 50 FPS but you can change that in GameUserSettings.ini at line 27 but I wouldn't recommend it as it can make the FPS go lower than by default
Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Some shadows are weirdly rendered (might be because of the low settings)
Huge loss in FPS compared to Windows
I'm using FSR and even with that, I have some parts in maps where my FPS are close to 10 and some part where I get to my capped FPS (144 FPS).
Low FPS and sudden FPS drops at some locations
You can play the game and enjoy it but know that some maps are going to be tough to play on due to low FPS (Entrance of gas station, the double doors give me 10 FPS for instance)
The voice chat is going to be managed by Vivox (something that has never worked on Linux and devs don't care about Linux) so be expected to not use comms in the close future

sudo pacman -U glibc-2.39-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst lib32-glibc-2.39-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
Very enjoyable, runs perfectly
Game won't close when using the "Exit Game" button or "Alt+F4", you'll need to shut it down with steam
You need these parameters to make the game close properly otherwise it will hang
Fps drops
Game freeze
