Overall experience is acceptable at best.
Native version runs with minor issues, does not launch with Proton Experimental at all.
gamemoderun %command% [-vulkan]
Occasional flickering or see-throughs
Not sure about Vulkan but with OpenGL I definitely experienced some crashes.
While native version with OpenGL or Vulkan runs with either graphical or performance issues, Proton version doesn't launch and instead puts a "Failed to connect with local Steam client" window. Would recommend playing on VM or dualboot Windows instead.

While OpenGL runs slightly slower, Vulkan runs horribly slow
Not sure about Vulkan but with OpenGL I definitely experienced some crashes.
While native version with OpenGL or Vulkan runs with either graphical or performance issues, Proton version doesn't launch and instead puts a "Failed to connect with local Steam client" window. Apparently also doesn't recognise some of the launch options but most of them do work. Honestly would recommend playing on VM or dualboot Windows instead for now. (or wait until Source 2 comes out with proper Vulkan support)

P.S. What happened since my last reports? I uninstalled previously manually installed amdgpu driver. It fixed all my problems. Lesson learned - don't be stupid.

Flame belch with ice = huge FPS drops, however this might be due to the game itself. The launch options are optional and also enable ray tracing support in the game.
Native stable branch runs well
x64/chromium branches, however, cannot launch at all, even with Proton. If they do launch, you will be greeted with invisible menus and not working chromium addons. (this issue has been there for literally years apparently, still not fixed!!)
Native version runs perfectly
I even played OpenAG and it too ran flawlessly!
Crashes right after the loading is done
gamemoderun %command%
The intro video plays, the loading screen starts and even the main menu music plays, but after that it just exits to desktop.

It seems as if the game does not respect the graphics settings at all considering the fact that I've set almost all options to "Medium" or sometimes even "High" and "Ultra", but the game still renders as if everything was set to "Low" or even lower. Some examples include a) arms of the viewmodel do not load completely and b) chickens appear as two walking triangles. (note that this was never the case on Windows, even though my poor gpu did suffer)
Sometimes the mouse cursor does not get locked by the game. In single monitor setups this is fine but since I'm rocking 3 monitors I sometimes accidentally dragged around windows from other monitors.
Freezes completely when exiting a match instead of going to the main menu. Occasionally does so when entering a match. Because of this I do not recommend using gamemode as it will also brick your system.
The multiplayer was a solid experience if considering only the connectivity side of things and not everything else.
I've tried multiple launch options from other reports and none seemed to help resolve my issues. The one I included seems to help me the most though but it may be just a placebo.

Runs great in fullscreen
In windowed mode, the viewport only occupies about quarter of the entire space of the window.

When launched without the launch options, will fail at compiling shaders. When launched with the launch options, will run flawlessly. Remember though to delete the shader pre-cache in Steam settings if you launched it without the args.
Runs great as long as you don't need network features
Could not connect to the network
Works like a charm
The game additionally installs Ubisoft Connect, but I've had zero issues with that. (except that you need to manually close it after you're done with Trackmania)
