Game stutters a bit. Haven't played native but It would almost certainly run better native. It has also crashed a couple of times.
Ran perfectly out of the box. I'm give or take 10 hours into a play through and can't recall a single issue.

Without the launch options the game stuttered a lot and wasn't very playable
proton-6.21-GE-2 worked the best of the 3 versions I tried but still didn't work well. Not a great experience on linux for me at least.
PS4 controller was not detected didn't try using any other controllers
The game ran quite slow and than gave an error saying a file was missing even though it wasn't
The missing file error I got crashed the game
There Have been 2, maybe 3 places where the lighting has caused significant slowdown. But the areas have been small save rooms from what I recall and don't negatively affect gameplay.
6.0-GE-1
Game would crash on the load screen on proton 5.13-5 but loaded in fine with Custom proton 6.0
Both the native and windows version run fine
I only tried the windows version so that I could keep progress if I played on my windows partition.
Loading is kind of slow for my M.2, but that may just be an issue with the game rather than playing with proton. I have not played native.
The only issue I experienced was a video clip in the overworld (not a cutscene) not playing properly. No clue if that's a bug with linux.
While I only played through 1 level for my inital test it played well enough that I think most people could comfortably play it
The game froze for a few seconds at the begining of the level 2 times after that it ran mostly smooth
The only change I made was swapping to experimental. The game loaded my save from windows and my ps4 controller just fine. If you already know the story of one piece which most people playing probably do, not being able to view the cutscenes isn't a huge issue.
Game launched on the wrong monitor and the game was only in the bottom left corner of the screen. Even after changing monitors the game would change back upon loading into the game. The windows version of the game with proton did not have this issue.
The story videos didn't work for me until Proton-7.0rc2-GE-1 now they display correctly
On top of using the most recent stable version I also used experimental and 7.0rc6-GE-1
Game stutters a lot. I could play through the game, but it would not be an enjoyable experience.
Unlike my last report the game now runs perfectly fine with the most recent stable proton release 7.0-3
Game opened on my second monitor for some reason. I was able to change it by dragging it over and going back to fullscreen
I had to move thief 2 to my home folder for the T2fix installer to work. But the game runs perfect with it installed.
T2fix
Cutscenes played incorrectly unless I used experimental
7.0-3 and GE7-20 displayed cutscenes incorrectly. Switch to experimental
