Game lagged really badly on the default proton especially on the last level
Crashed once during the monorail
Performance noticeably improved after switching to an older proton version, also switched render from dx11 to dx12 (make sure to turn off ray tracing) and set max fps to 30. Only figured this out on the last level though and didn't test it for the others
Works well out of the box

Works great out of the box!
I played with the DX12 renderer selected, with ray tracing turned on, everything set to Epic. The game ran at a pretty locked 120fps with Vsync turned on (My monitor is 120fps), 180's turned off. Only one area did I witness stuttering in the FPS and that was towards the end of the game, but it was a significantly small part.

game-performance %command%
Runs well.
Worked out of the box, no tinkering required.

mangohud %command%
Works perfectly fine with Raytracing and DLSS activated
I experience few random shuttering and lag on certain areas on highest graphic setting (with ray tracing enabled), despite my PC is above recommended requirements.

40Hz
Hard FPS Drops outside on the moon
Works out of the box
Works great without any tinkering

Czasami płynność spadała nawet do około 10 fps. Głównie na etapach z otwartą przestrzenią. Co stanowi jakieś 10% gry. Niestety spadków tych nie dało się zrekompensować niższymi detalami. Ostatnia misja była przez to prawie niegrywalna.

Text is hard to read.
Had to adjust joystick sensitivity to get better movement.

texte tres petit mais lisible
reduit a 40 fps moyen partout. chute de fps danscertaines sequences de la fin du jeux mais parfaitement jouable.

I usually am super fine reading small text, but this was really quite a challenge for me on some sections. I have rather good eyesight, so I can't imagine how hard this would be for someone who tends to have a hard time reading small text.
Sometimes when changing resolution and graphics settings some weird artifacts would appear on the right of my screen. Changing the settings back and forth fixes it, but it may take a number of tries.
FPS Drops. Everywhere. It fluctuates wildly, with some parts even going sub 10 FPS. Conversely, I had one part stay a practically solid 60 FPS. The rest was a fluctuating 30-50 FPS. Changing graphics settings does net higher peak FPS, but as soon as you start turning the camera it's basically just as bad as if you had it on higher settings. I recommend Medium.
The frame rate was so erratic is was extremely distracting from the gameplay. There were hour long sections that were on average sub 30 FPS, with no graphical changes fixing it. I was able to fully play through the game and beat it, but it's hard to recommend for me. If you have a better PC, play it there, but if you're like me and just want to play on the Deck, know you caaaaan, but it'll really stink at points.

Enabled following wine options in Heroic launcher 2.10.0: Auto install DXVK-NVAPI on Prefix Enable Esync Enable Fsync Enable Mangohud
Game menu does not provide possibility to change key bindings, which is simply unacceptable in 2023. Had to manually edit following file to change keyboard settings from qwerty to azerty: ~/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Deliver Us the Moon/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/MoonMan/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Input.ini

Works well from out of box
It works great with a native proton: RTX and DLSS work too without a thinkering

Had crashes with GTX 1050, no issues with new graphics card.
I initially started playing the game with a NVIDIA GTX 1050. At the moonhub level the framerate crashed, and then crashed the game. Once I upgraded my graphics card the issues went away and I was able to play the rest of the game fine.
I didn't have mangohud enabled, but it looked like the game ran a smooth 144FPS from start to finish on the 7900 XTX.
Runs perfectly OOTB
Works without issues
Text was very difficult to read. I had to squint and look closely at the screen many times. Probably the hardest text to read of any game I've played on Deck so far, but still technically readable.
There were some cutscenes involving a tram that would drop the frame rate substantially while I had it locked to 40hz (something like 5-10fps), but once I unlocked the display to 60hz again, the performance improved (like 30-40fps). I recommend running it at 60hz and just dealing with a short battery life with this beautiful game.
There are some places where performance suffers, but it's manageable if you don't try to lock the screen to 40hz
Finished game without issues
~30FPS at Ultra settings most of the time (while indoors). Dropped to 10-15 at the moon's surface level (10% of the game maybe).
Not butter smooth and I'm not sure if it's Proton or the game but smooth enough to be enjoyed.
The game works great out of the box, tho i would recommend some tweaks that i detail in the notes below. (for a beter experience)
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH=2 mangohud gamemoderun %command%
To have a better experience, especially with Nvidia Pascal - AMD 5000 GPUs, use ProtonGE (the latest version available), launch the game with DX11 (as it's more stable for those gpus, and DXVK gives better performances than VKD3D atm).
Then, use the launch commands i wrote above, to activate FSR, mangohud and Feral's gamemode (the last two are optionnal).
Once in the game, go to the settings > Advanced > Set the Rendering resolution to 70-75%, AMD's FSR (enabled with the launch commands) should upscale the game for you, giving you significant performance boost.
Wonderful Sci-Fi adventure. The handheld experience struggles at the end. But worth it to push through and finish the game.
Set to medium graphics preset. Lower in game resolution and upscale with FSR1 using gamescope. As of posting this review DLSS to FSR2 mods still doesn't work with this game. Nets me around 2 hours of battery life
The Steam Deck struggles in maintaning 30FPS in the later missions, where you traverse the lunar surface. Happens on both DX11 and DX12.
It was suprisingly easy to get stuck between objects due to the low gravity mechanics. But restarting is there and checkpoints that are spaced out well enough.
One side note: The game has raytracing support but is DXR through DX12. But I wasn't daring enough to grab the latest mesa drivers or AMD Pro drivers for linux to test this out on the Steam Deck. Maybe not worth it as the only decent upscaling tech here is DLSS. And again DLSS to FSR2 mods still don't work with this game.

set refresh rate to 40Hz
Just a few stutters here and there. Still playable
The FPS drops below 20 under 800P or 540P with FSR on.

Works perfectly out of the box
Used the default option (DX11 renderer) in the launch menu. Didn't try DX12 or RTX.
Works perfectly out of the box
DLSS and Ray Tracing require some tweaks, but run well when enabled.
The game works better on linux than on windows, out of the box. I don't believe it. (60fps constent)
It seems like DX11 without RTX is way more stable than DX12 (with and without RTX).

Game runs absolutly perfect without any tweaks whatsoever. game is nice, but kinda short.
6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Slight fps drop on intensive scenes.
The game repeatly crashed twice on certain points. Had to reboot the whole system to resume gameplay.
Overall gameplay expirience is good. The game runs smoothly 90% of the time.
VSync does not work and horrible fps drops/stuttering.
Graphical issues such as VSync not working at all is an issue as well whether enabled/disabled, resulting in horrific screen tearing.
Whether I run this software with Proton Stable or Experimental, the over all game is unplayable due to constant FPS drops and stuttering
the over all game is unplayable due to constant FPS drops and stuttering

Been trying to tweak with multiple workarounds, and at most, results in a game crash almost immediately upon starting
At first, it wouldn't even run (no matter what version of ProtonDB and/or Glorious Eggroll I was using), because it was saying that there was an issue installing the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime. Then I tried using this workaround: https://steamcommunity.com/app/428660/discussions/0/1735468061764944319/?ctp=2#c3175526477767880551 which kinda got it somewhat working kinda sorta. The intro sequence would begin playing, but it was just a black screen with sound effects playing. The controller wasn't responding, so I tried with the mouse. The screen then gave a prompt saying "hold space to skip", so I did, and then it went to spoken-word audio with text at the bottom of the screen (still black), and around this point is where it keeps crashing. The error dialog box flashes by too fast, so I had to do it again while screenrecording, and it's a "UE-4 MoonMan" crash. I tried looking for answers for that, and no results.
Hopefully, someday, this game will actually work, because it looks cool from the preview trailers.
fonctionne avec option dx12 with rtx (si vous avez une carte graphique rtx) mais je doute que le raytracing soit fonctionnel, version proton : 6.3.1 Tout est fonctionnel
If played with DX12 hangs completely at particular locations, some times when looking at particular objects, no relation to how intense the scene is.
When played with DX11 freezes for couple seconds at the same locations as mentioned above, don't have to restart the game
was unable to finish the game, hangs during semi-final movie under GE and Native proton
Actually GE doesn't help anyhow, you get better stability if played DX11 with any Proton.
Didn't try Media Foundation DLL because their GitHub page stated that since may 2020 it should be already in Proton, and GE should be tried firs leaving Media Foundation as last resort. https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-installcab
Works fine but only 2 things :
- Intro scene doesn't show up on Linux in my case, does show on Windows
- Ray tracing not working on Linux , because DirectX to Vulkan not support it yet
