Only after using these launch options, and this version of proton ge, did the crashing stop. I was close to throwing this one in the trash.

Very seldomly I will get kicked due to battle eye, but its not enough to worry about, its dayz, optimization is not in the devs vocab lol

After finding the optimal settings, this became an enjoyable game to play on linux. On proton experimental I experienced shutters and pauses that lasted up to 15 seconds. The same occured when using GE 754. After reviewing the previous protondb reports, I tried 743 and it worked very well. No framerate issues after playing or reloading a match.

works great on deck, no launch options, ge742, game graphics set about 85% on the slider(4gb) ish. only complaint is the stable bug, but it happens on my ps5 too
It works perfectly fine on my steamdeck, so I am assuming its my driver versions on my mine pc causing the issues. Maybe an update will fix

Textures, objects, etc disappear, reappear, depending on the facing angle of character
Not playable without costant graphical glitches and oddities with the latest updated garuda linux as of 6/20/24. I will have to use my steamdeck to play the game through until a driver update(hoping) possibly fixes it.
I guess I can't edit my prev report, but I figured it out. Disable all upscaling then exit game. Add launch option "--use-d3d11".

Step 1 - Disable all upscaling then exit game. Step 2 - Add launch option "--use-d3d11". Step 3 - Launch the game, and all graphical issues are resolved
This is actually for the playtest version of the game, I just wanted something posted here to help other people if needed.

This game would not launch for me with regular steam proton, nor proton ge, I think its a UE problem on the upscaling side, not the game specifically. The AUR proton ge seems to work best with all UE5 games for me lately. Arch = proton-ge-custom from AUR
Just clicked play and it worked perfectly.
I would be inclined to say this is a better than native experience
