There are significant frame drops when fighting bugs
There are frequent frame drops and, while I am trying to run an intensive game on laptop components, I believe the issue stems due to the nature of the game and ongoing optimization efforts.

mangohud game-performance %command%

Runs around 20-30fps after changing graphics settings, but suffers from occasional hard freezes
Dropped all settings to low. Set in-game frame cap to 60fps, and the Deck's cap to 40fps. Also used Intel Xess upscaling w/ either the 'performance' or 'balance' setting.
Some hover text, like when looking at match modifiers, is very small & hard to read. Other text is generally fine.
Frames can be a bit jumpy in matches. On average around 20-35fps. When there's a lot of bugs on the screen fps can drop to 15, 10, or lower in very extreme cases.
Occasional hard freezing (without crashing) on starting up the game, loading into a match, or while in a match. The game has to be forcibly stopped in such cases.
While installing I had a hard freeze which required a force quit, and on the first couple times starting the game I also had hard freezes before I reached the main menu. These seemed to be somewhat incremental, and 3rd time was a clean run.
Once I changed the compat layer to ULWGL-Proton-8.0-5-3, adjusted the graphics settings, and dialed in the the fps, I had a lot of fun playing this on the deck. Reasonably good framerates in most cases, graphics were ok enough, and battery time from full is around 3-4 hours. You can also cap TDP to 10 to squeeze some extra battery life, for a little less performance in the more intensive parts of the game. The hard freezing was almost a bit of a deal-breaker, but in my experience changing the compat layer helped (mostly) clear that up.

Not sure if proton, but not great performance

-D3D11
Lighting was also weird when it was pitch black. Sometimes ground textures were missing. Generally missing a lot of textures.
Game crashed on instant when round started. Crashed whole GPU. Had to hard reboot everytime. Launch option -d3d11 with older proton 8 i was able to play it somehow, but with a lot of problems.
I played this a lot when it was still on early access and it was working perfectly out of the box. But now it's a horrible mess. GPU crashed instantly when game loaded and you got out of the lander. Only way to play was to add launch option -d3d11 and go back all the way to proton 8. There was huge ammount of missing textures, other players were lagging a lot. Only thing that was working without hickups were controls and audio.
Works out of the box

Lots of stuttering on the Arc gamemode and framerate tanks during large waves on horde
Others have reported crashes but I have not had any yet with Medium/High settings 1440p

Works ootb
Have been playing since months in EA and it still works fine under linux.

Fps are dropping from kinda smooth to unplayable, DLSS seems to make it worse
With new epic lib, you now get kicked for "easy anticheat checksum error"

When I try to start up the game the initial splash loading window is stuck on 'Initializing'
It's stuck on the initial loading window.
I installed the Proton Easyanticheat Runtime.
I also tried reinstalling the game and trying Proton runtimes all the way back to Proton 7. I suspect this is an easyanticheat issue but I don't know for certain.

FSR3 (quality), 1440p and everything on epic: ~ avg 80 fps.

Maybe? IF you have the highest end, expensive HW available to sustain 60+ FPS without FSR. Game will not load in game after enabling.
gamemoderun %command% -d3d11
Default sensitivity was WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too sensitive. Barely touching mouse would 360 view so fast I couldn't move properly.
Technically unsure. As mentioned, I cannot load into the game after 1 and only 1 successful login anymore to verify save game state.
45~55fps when doing things (only got to build in tut before crashing trying to enable fsr)
Enable fsr results in perma crashing on startup and unable to change settings afterward. Can't load into the game to do so.
Enable FSR perma broke game loading. No longer loads into game. Performance is bad without FSR. I have games that perform and look better without FSR.
Game did 'run' after initial install and load in. However, performance was bad (around 45 fps) and this was just me in the tutorial by myself. I imagine it would tank further, at least a little bit, with more people and enemies and stuff going on. Enabling FSR perma broke the game. It just crashes trying to load in now so I can't event get to the settings to turn off FSR and no 'settings' file I could see and don't think I'm going to waste my time looking. I have games that use and run just fine on linux (both fsr AND dlss). Most of my games don't even need it as they run typically around 90+ fps @4K on high.

Game seems to be heavily CPU bound. FPS running quite low when encountering large hordes of bugs.
Occasionally crashes with Wine C++ Assertion Failed error message. I noticed it happened only when running the game on Epic setting preset.

Fails at installing VC Runtime and crashes to tty
WM is Hyprland

FPS sometimes drop below 40 or even 30 in the late game or while there too many effects on screen. Seems server and/or engine related.
Didn´t see any major difference between Proton8 and experimental.
Playing on epic settings except shadows and effects. 1440p resolution.

I'm doing my part.

The game loads, I can hear sounds and can get to the main menu through guessing where to click. Tested this with most proton drivers
No visible screen after update

Game used to work, but suddenly stopped working.
Played the game for hours on end, it's quite good. As of 2 days ago though upon launching the game it will login to easyanticheat but when the game window comes up it will play the opening scene that can be skipped but it won't respond to any input and continously fill up the ram until it's full. Tried different proton versions to no avail. Only option is to force close it sadly.

It actually runs and looks a little better than my Windows PC. Since I switching to Linux, all I had to do was use Proton 7.0-6 (may vary)
I've simply went and changed the version of Proton. I was only able to run the game so far with Proton 7.0-6
The game is still early access so performance was a little more stable on Linux for me. In Windows I have really bad stuttering when lots of bugs on screen(fps drops included). On Linux Mint Proton 7.0-6 I have fps drops but no stuttering (so far). For some reason the game actually looks better too. Both systems can max graphics settings, so idk why it looks better.

force_vk_vendor=-1 %command%
game normally crashes after launch with Intel Arc GPUs because of a bug with XeSS, use vendorID override to bypass that crash

Works great online
Revert your easy-anticheat workaround if you played Star Citizen before!!

No doubt playable out of the box. Even though it uses Easy Anti Cheat.
At the beginning of each round there are a lot of hick-ups due to asset loading. But that may be the case on Windows as well. Don't know.

Overall, everything works fine right now. However, I cannot predict what the future holds since the game is still in early access.
Using Steam from the Arch Linux repos, I encountered an Easy Anti-Cheat error: Failed to initialize dependencies.
However, when using Steam through Flatpak, everything works flawlessly.
During the last parts, especially during the evacuation phase, the game starts to slow down significantly. This issue also occurs on Windows, so it is not the fault of the Wine compatibility layer.

gamemoderun %command% -d3d11
I had to turn the settings to low and run through a map first and then it even itself out
It complained about DirectX 12. I had to add -d3d11 flag after %command%
Co-Op PvE FPS game and there is always time to kill some bugs!
When switching in to the loadout option, the pc freezes for a bit.
Had some disconnection from the game, but it could be from the game since it Early Access
Only had a singular crash. Other games went smoothly.
Game is currently buggy all around. This is not exclusive to the Linux version so it is hard to seperate what is caused by running it non-native and a bug in the game itself. That being said the game actually appears to run better for me under Proton than it did when I tried it out on Windows. It appeared to have a more stable framerate with less hitching overall.
Works fine. I had no FPS problems while playing in 1440p resolution with most settings are on epic.
Slight framerate loss occasionally depending on how many bugs are onscreen, and initially in the tutorial when first firing a weapon. It's Early Access, though.
It's very early access, but overall runs well on my system. I did not have to tinker for EAC to function properly, but already had the runtime installed. The game will not be playable without it.
Lots of Bugs, not too bad for bugs.
Ocasional freezes, especially with grenades. I suspect that's an "early access" issue rather than a "linux" issue.
Issue with Windows as well: classes don't save.
Issue with Windows as well: physics simulation seems to be CPU throttled. When lots of bodies and particles are on screen, FPS drops by a lot.
Get an easy anti cheat error when trying to join a game or matchmake.
Game launches fine but is hindered by EAC
Framerates when bugs are swarming make this game essentially unplayable
Framerates drop drastically when bugs are swarming
Hopefully the framerate issues will get ironed out as the early access/open beta process moves along and the product is finished. As of writing this, though, I'd say this game is unplayable via Proton.
Severe, noticeable performance issues, even if you can get past EAC.
Major performance issues on full screen.
Game runs <30 fps on low, with compositing disabled on full screen. 60+ fps on medium in windowed mode.
Games performance was significantly better on window mode, but would degrade over time to the point of unplayability
The preformance is so unbelivably terrible on a GTX970, their "Minimum requirements" must be updated. FPS is garbage
FPS was complete and utter dog shit, minimum specs state a 970 despite that, was completely unplayable.
Terrible FPS XeSS makes things even laggier
In the question "Did you experience any other significant bugs?"... I got say I nailed a few of them with my machine gun!
Crashes after EAC Splash Screen

Tried different types of protons to no avail. Get treated with a
