Framerates when bugs are swarming make this game essentially unplayable

Framerates drop drastically when bugs are swarming
Hopefully the framerate issues will get ironed out as the early access/open beta process moves along and the product is finished. As of writing this, though, I'd say this game is unplayable via Proton.
