To be able to start game, you have to turn off uplay overlay, otherwise it starts black, and nothing happens.
There is also shadows glitch: there appears half transparent rectangle visible through other objects for things like huts.
This game is pretty much interactive movie, and out of sync approximated animations are showstopper here
Animations not fully working
Heavy stuttering, probably shaders caching
Had to replace HMA.exe
On videos audio was out of sync and crackling sometimes. In game I didn't notice problems with it
There were also shader compilation slowdowns, but that's to be expected unfortunately and slow paced game like hitman not really a big deal. In benchmark I got average 40fps, min 30 on 1440p everything Ultra 2xMSAA. Don't know how it compares to Windows.

Changing proton versions sometimes showed me black launcher, but that's all
Game runs really well, except when first starting it and registering social club account, cursor can disappear, so it's not easy to navigate. Another thing is with anti aliasing enabled max hair and some objects in distance are full black. I set other graphical settings to very high and got no problems
Story mode doesn't work, so if someone wants it, it's going to be disappointing. Aside from story mode everything I tested worked.
In story mode quick time events froze or crashed game on most proton versions, but ones that worked had other problems
Everything ran smoothly throughout the introductory mission, except for information about toggling uplay overlay with shift + f2, which didn't work and information didn't disappear on its own, but uplay overlay can be disabled from uplay, so the message is not appearing after that.
