you could have told me that this game is natively supported and I wouldn’t have known any better
No need to tinker, works out of the box
note: I've only played the campain, as the online mode does not interest me, so I don't know much about the battleye anticheat stuff
Could not get it to work at a playable framerate and resolution
game can only run when I set the window size to 1280x720 and lower the graphics quality dramatically, I also tried different versions of proton but to no avail, no idea what could be causing this as I've run way more robust games before and they worked really well
Not that the default Steam option doesn't work well, it's really good, and it's not even that big of a difference, but for me, using Proton Hotfix (or Proton Experimental) makes the experience a whole lot smoother

this game is a masterpiece, and I've had no trouble playing through the main campain and the dlcs

no tinkering is required, although to be honest there is also not a lot of reasons to come back to this game
it feels like rolling a dice whether or not you're going to experience issues with this game
althought set to fullscreen by default, the default resolution was set to 1280x720, instead of my monitor's resolution (1920x1080), causing the game to look really blurry, still don't think I've managed to quite fix it
only by switching to medium graphics I could get the game to run on a stable framerate
a previous report was not exaggerating, once the game crashed so hard it crashed steam with it
