6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Average FPS of about 40.
Proton experimental and `PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%` allowed me to turn DLSS on. 3440x1440 all settings maxed and I was 60-90 FPS
Windowed Borderless did not play well with alt+tab. Fullscreen alt+tabs out perfectly.
Does not download cloud saves.
After a few hours of playing the game started hitching extremely badly. Not sure if it was the game or my system, but a restart of the game fixed it.
Occasional FPS drops that I do not experience on Windows. Rare crashes when joining multiplayer games.
Have had 2 crashes trying to join multiplayer games, but it's very infrequent. Big FPS drops are more frequent.
Crashes after the initial loading screen. Cannot view menu.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamemoderun %command%
Using Proton-6.20-GE-1 or 6.19-GE-2 the game will not launch. Can get the game running with proton-experimental, but many sounds are not working.
The occasional minor hitches and slightly lower FPS did not impede my enjoyment of the demo.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamemoderun %command%
Slight hitches here and there, slightly lower FPS than on Windows
One crash during a loading screen before I enabled the launch options
Game actually ran about as well as on Windows, but any time there was a loading screen it was maybe 10 minutes long.
Intro video was missing, some icons in-game were missing.
Game takes an extremely long time to load to the first menu, then an extremely long time to load to the character selection, then an extremely long time to load into the world.
Great on desktop, poor performance on steam deck.
Even on the lowest settings it struggles to reach 30 FPS.
I have a pretty beefy PC, and it was not an enjoyable framerate after the hitching stopped.
Game hitched badly for the first 20 minutes or so. Maybe caching stuff happening. After that the hitching stopped, but the framerate was 15-20 lower than on Windows.
Any movement of the character resulted in unplayable frame drops (75+ to 1-5). Even in character creation.
