PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Enabled back grip buttons as R1/L1 for ease of reach
The "Camera Speed" setting in-game seems to be non-functional, as I compared the maximum and minimum values without feeling any difference. So, when using a gamepad, the camera speed is stuck significantly higher than I like
Game runs great. Turned the quality options up to max and didn't have any framerate issues, but the battery did only last 2-3 hours at those settings. Turning them down/using FSR would be a good idea for any extended play
Played online with a friend, who was playing from a Windows computer. Buttery smooth experience all around.
Stuttering significantly decreased with Proton Experimental

The game is fun and runs quite well, if you can live with the micro stutters from time to time.
Works flawlessly own highest graphics settings, yet 30s-1m or so the screen freezes for a split second (micro stutters/lags). The CPU and GPU usage is low on my machine, the stutters happen despite any performance settings. The game is still playable, but the micro stutters are a nuisance.
Runs Like Native. Don't buy it.
A shit ton of FPS drops when exploring, but extremely smooth when still.
Extreme FPS drops when loading world

The framerate just isn't stable enough to feel like you can actually focus on the game
Framerate dips down to as low as 30 fps at 1440p sporadically and frequently, and seems to happen more when moving around the world
Playable but not fully lag-free
at about 30% render distance the game starts lagging if i starts to load new chunks
some said the would need a better cpu, but look at my specs, ive got 16 pysical cores running at 3,6 Ghz each one running 2 threads. My hard drive is a ssd m.2 with 1.8Gb/s write and 1.8Gb/s read. only my gpu leaks of performance, ive tryed nearly any command line argument to improve performance. no result or worse. custome proton builds might do better
Runs like it's Native.
I mean the game is objectively worse then the alpha version but it runs perfectly. It wouldn't even start on windows.
The game has major performance issues, but is enjoyable as long as good enough hardware is used.
- FPS drops when the player is moving.
Other Issues:
- The game crashes when it is launched for the first time, but works on the second launch.
Possible Workarounds:
- Setting the CPU Load to REDUCED in the in-game settings stabilizes the FPS a bit.

The game works, FPS is great launching the game but drops drastically. The problem seems to be with the world generation as I see huge frame drops when moving and the game is not playable. I tried different settings and parameters on launch without success.

Does not even start

Just launched to check, everything works

Doesn't launch at all.

Game launches but video is choppy, even disabling esync and vsync inside game. Playable but not fun.

Runs fine out of the box, performance could be better though

Set rendering distance to 25%-30% (default is 50%)

I tried disabling esync, it made it more stuttery and that's all... other wise, chnage the CPU setting to REDUCED and lowering the render distance helps a lot with performance consistancy. Also, limiting fps to 71 helps to have smaller frame drops so a more comfortable gameplay.

The game runs like garbage. I've tried everything, reducing render distance to 5% or less. Unplayable. A total disappointment. I am really sad.

Works out of the box with minor frame stutters, overall playable.

Works out of the box. A little stuttery when loading new areas but very playable. Disabling esync just caused more stutter. My CPU isn't the best, but setting the game's CPU option to "reduced" as opposed to "full" helped. I think if I had a better CPU the game would run better. Overall though, pretty good experience in terms of Proton compatibility

No problems; I just pushed rendering distance to 25% instead of 50% for stuttering. I think is just my old processor.

Game works, but when traversing the world there are MAJOR framedrops, making game near unplayable at times.

Runs but frequent frame drops. Sometimes during areas with multiple AI/mobs/creates, the drops can be very bad. Otherwise the game runs.

Game starts and runs, but stutters a lot when moving, which makes it unplayable.

Game immediately crashes with "Could not initialize Direct3D." I am using a developing version of Mesa, but it also crashed under Mesa 19.0.2 which I previously tried.

Frame drops

Runs mostly well, but severe stutters happen every now and then

Games runs well, but the framerate drops massively when walking around for a bit. It goes back to normal when you stay in the same area for a while. The frame drops make the game unplayable at times though, so silver.

At first, the game didn't work, but after investigating, I realized that Steam did not detect my GPU correctly and used Mesa as a GPU driver. Using wine d3d11 then made it work but really slow. If anyone is here having the same issue w/ a Nvidia GPU card, try reinstalling your drivers. Other than that, the game runned flawlessly from what I could try.

Beta-Versions run pretty well. We also tested Multiplayer (hosted by me. Press J to invite friends on Steam) which works fine too. Fun Fact can't play it on Windows, so I'm happy that I can with LInux. xD

The game starts perfectly but there are constant stutters even though the framerate is very high.

Works perfectly with 4.11-6 (didn't at all with 4.2). Runs completely bug free as far as I can tell, though performance is a bit low. I manage above 40FPS most of the time, with the occasionally lag spike. Better CPUs that my i5-4460 should do fine!

Worked perfectly after I installed the 32 bit vulkan libraries.

Appears to open a window on the tray, which quickly closes. Does not reach the title screen.

Steam Beta version (released 9-23-19) works flawlessly with Proton 4.11-5. Had no issues.
