Installing D9VK and disabling esync is almost required. I had a few crashes at loading screen here and there (I think 3 during my total playtime of almost 10 hours, all in the same area although I do not recall which one it was specifically...) Other than that, it ran perfectly once I installed D9VK and disabled esync.
Whenever I alt-tab, the game doesn't detect my HOTAS or my xbox controller anymore.
Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.9-GE-2
After playing without issue for 20+ hours, the game crashes every 10 minutes
Sound didn't work without Proton 5.13-1
Keybindings were not saved after shutting down the computer.
A few framerate drops in cutscenes, but gameplay was perfect
The final cutscene had no audio or video whatsoever, only subtitles on a white screen. Maybe using Glorious Eggroll's fork would help with that?
The game runs flawlessly out of the box.
Mouse cursor is not displayed when moving, but this is fixed by disabling Mouse Lock in the game settings.
I am using the Zen kernel, maybe this helps with stability.
Had a few freezes in the intro but it was very smooth after that
I had issues running the Origin Launcher with i3wm, but in worked in KDE Plasma. I bought the full game and my friend had the Friend's Pass (which allows you to play the full game without buying it twice) on Windows. I couldn't bring up the Origin overlay, which means I couldn't invite my friend. Fortunately, he could join me manually, but as I mentionned before, he's on Windows so I don't know if that would work with two linux systems.
Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
I use GloriousEggroll's Proton
A few FPS drops here and there but it rarely drops below 50FPS
Finished the campaign once and started a new game +, without a single bug. Performance are also great.
Cutscenes don't play without mf-install: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install
I finished the game without any issue, it ran flawlessly from beginning to end
The game freezes whenever I enter the Abilities menu to "level up"
