Runs fine had a few crashes
Ran in slow motion on one occasion
Crashed twice
Performance is great. Mouse input is weird, moving the mouse in any direction also pulls the camera downwards. Lowering in-game sensitivity somewhat helps but still is noticeable.
(Reported experimental version: Current Experimental)
Bypass game launcher
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/5510
Set launch options to PROTON_DUMP_DEBUG_COMMANDS=1 %command% Launch the game then close/kill so the below directory is created.
Open a terminal in root/tmp/proton_user (you) ./run taskmgr.exe and click New Task Navigate to "ProjectX/Mirror2/Binaries/Win64/Mirror2_X-Win64-Shipping.exe" Press Ok.
To change the games language to English click the global in the top right, and its the last option.
Bypass the Launcher with Launch option:
eval $( echo "%command%" | sed "s/Launcher/Mirror2.ProjectX.Launcher.exe'.*/ProjectX/Mirror2/Binaries/Win64/Mirror2_X-Win64-Shipping.exe'/" )
Runs perfectly, winetricks is not needed to fix no music & crashes.

Find: [Software\Wine\DllOverrides] Add Line: "xaudio2_7"="native,builtin"
Save and relaunch
Good performance overall but does have occasional dips and hitches. Mouse is way to fast in game even with the sensitivity slider at 1%. Manually adjust in console with "inp_fMouseSensitivity=#" 0.7 was a good value for me.
On first launch an error message about .NET framework appears, but this can be ignored and doesn't pop up again. The game never ran well on windows and it doesn't run much worse on Steam Play.
The audio glitches out after a while. Xbox controller works. Performance was good in my case.
Runs well, slower than in windows. To get controllers working Force off steam input off. Big Picture Mode -> Manage Game -> Controller Options -> Steam Input Per-Game Stetting -> Forced Off
