Linux 144-999 FPS, Windows 90-144 FPS
No stretched resolution in 4:3 mode, only square resolution in full screen mode
Loading to the server in the game is longer than on Windows
Upon connecting to a server, there's a noticable delay displaying the MOTD versus Windows (5-6 seconds). After that, everything is fine.

Yeah, it is better than... you know. Keep your system updated! Now the game is **updated to 5.26**

Using native screen (1080p) because low resolution widescreen is flickering. Using Wayland what I tested. Also, your fonts from your client is rendered so weird. If you use tildes or something else when you write in Spanish, Portuguese or anything else which uses more character than English has.
Low resolution, same with 720p widescreen, the screen is flickering in fullscreen. Using native fullscreen of your monitor.
The game does not need to save your progress.
It depends on the map and the server.
It is playable and you can enjoy it. More boots of FPS than the other operating system, which I do not say its name. Probably X11 it is better than Wayland when you play this, probably.

Worked out of the box, despite the native linux client apparently being experimental/unfinished.
The latest update fixed the native build. The game is now running great out of the box.

Select the "release_candidate_public - Release candidate (public)" beta on steam else you will have wierd issues.
Switch to "release_candidate_public - Release candidate (public)" Beta in steam else you will have wierd issues

Some mousewheel inputs were ignored, and a noise played with each Mousewheel action

-h 1080 -w 1920
Fixed by switching compatibility to Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout)
Fixed the lack of full screen by enabling "Intelligently hide panel" in panel options and putting "-h 1080 -w 1920" in launch options

Use Flatpak version of steam in order to get 5.25's native binary running properly
On ver 5.25, 50% of the time when loading into a map, the game's audio bugs out in a odd way where the audio is incredibly crackly, loud and cuts off a milisecond after playing any sound. This sometimes goes away completely. Fixed in 5.26 beta.
On ver 5.25, 50% of the time when loading into a map, the game's video gets laggy and you'll get a black screen for a few seconds before getting video again randomly, this is paried with audio issues mentioned above. Also fixed in 5.26 beta.
On ver 5.25, scroll wheel input on map lists and other scrollable menu items would not correctly register most of the time. Fixed in 5.26 beta.
Ran a local server all by myself on 5.25 and the 5.26 beta, servers worked flawlessly, I only tested this with myself and no one else so LAN multiplayer might have issues with more than one person that I never experienced because of that.
Unless you want to play on a public server (as most if not all public servers will be unjoinable due to them running on 5.25 still), I encourage everyone to use the beta to avoid all the significant issues plaguing SC's native executable.

On pipewire needs 32bit pipewire, for me this was solved by installing lib32-pipewire
Not sure if this was serverside or not but sometimes I could not jump with scroll wheel but I could jump with spacebar

-w 1280 -h 800
The game had issues with the Steam Deck resolution. The custom launch arguments have fixed this.
Played for a while on my server.

I installed the Dejavu fonts recommended from another report but the text on certain menu items (mainly in the options menu and the server browser tabs) would artifact. There weren't any other visual bugs from what I've noticed.

Fonts were missing. The package name on fedora is dejavu-fonts-all,on arch its:ttf-dejavu
The game started at 640x480 at first launch
When closing the game with the quit button, the game will freeze and take your cursor When using Alt+F4 the game closes but the game remains open in the background and plays back sound.
The game will give you a warning if you dont have libcrypto and libssl installed, but it will still launch with no problems https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2049661899

Game crashes when changing video options.
Joining and playing on a VAC enabled server worked fine.
Unable to discover LAN servers and host a server on the Chromebook.

Fonts will glitch with other alphabets. And a warning when starting the game because of supposed lacking dependencies like openssl and cryptssl but the game works fine.
Make sure to not use Wayland when playing this game or otherwise the fonts won't appear.
If the game does not start just install : libcrypto.so.1.1 , libssl.so.1.1
game DOES NOT SUPPORT save/load game state
80% from original FPS ( compared to NATIVE mode )
the steam tells me the game is running, but PURELY nothing happens. ERROR message appears.
error message : ++++++++++++++++++ WARNING: You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Sven Co-op may not run: libcrypto.so.1.1 libssl.so.1.1
and the game is runs. tels my by the steam . irritatingly NOTHING happens . game not run . any edit in SVENCOOP.sh file is useless at 233th line.
With the audio not working at ALL + being locked to 640x480 - It's hard to recommend. Technically playable but with some major drawbacks.
By default nothing is bound to Ctrl for crouching (even the official layout)
Audio is completely broken. The game warns you at the start that it will be completely silent.
Right now the resolution was limited to 640x480 without anyway to increase it.
Joining a server and playing/interacting with other players was 100% fine.
Works great natively with nearly no issues
Weird issues with shaddows, fixed by turning off opengl shadows.
Game uses Steam P2P networking layer, had to follow this guide to play with friends: https://steamcommunity.com/app/225840/discussions/0/1649917420734907705/
The pop-up warning that oI got on launch could safely be ignored.
Works but missing some Fonts on Steam Runtime from AUR
Navtie version (on Arch) is missing fonts only on Server Browser, Setting Menu and Console. Rest works perfectly fine. Using Proton solves Font Problem.
Someone wrote on Steam Forum that snap version of Steam fixes missing fonts on native version.
Online multiplayer works perfectly.
By default, Sven Co-Op uses its native Linux port, which generates pop-up errors at launch and has missing fonts/textures in menus. Sven works perfectly in Proton 7.0-1.
Text is slightly distorted. Vertical lines are frequent and some characters are cut off at their right side.
do not forget to install half-life game otherwise the game will not start
Issues were addressed and fixed with a later version of Proton.
Game won't launch unless renaming/deleting <steamfolder>/steamapps/common/Sven Co-op/svencoop/libgcc_s.so.1
Works almost perfectly out of the box
Changing the game's resolution would cause the game to crash after the setting was applied. Restarting the game started it in the new resolution.
Just hit play and you're ready to go. The only problem I had was corrupted font in the menu but it's still readable.
Some characters in the UI where corrupted but the text was still readable.
After deleting libgcc_s.so.1 from Sven's install directory the game runs perfectly, natively.
Game didn't run by default, had to go into the install directory & delete libgcc_s.so.1 . Game starts & runs fine afterwards.
Switching to fullscreen (or changing res) caused the game to crash, but the settings saved & fullscreen worked after starting the game again.

For the most part, I think people can play this game without any big issues but it could use some improvement.
Text looks buggy and custom playermodels don't load when downloaded and saved.
Expect some bugs but it's not too major to hinder gameplay but you might have problems reading text in chat.
With the 5.21 release, the game closes immediately after you launch it (Januaryr 13th 2020). Setting 'vid_level=1' on 'svencoop.conf' solves the problem (at least it did for me and other people on Steam discussions).
The game runs natively on Linux, as previously mentioned, and it runs perfectly, but it's not mentioned in the store page.
Had no issues, works great
This is a native Linux game. The Steam page for it simply doesn't say that it is playable on Linux.

Can confirm that the native version does work despite the lack of a compatibility flag, also I didn't seem to need to link any libs as previous reports posted. Also I'm running Nvidia 430.50, not sure why the site is detecting otherwise.

Native, have to link libgcc_s.so and libstdc++.so.6 and crashes when changing video options, otherwise works great.

Native version requires you to create a symlink for libgcc_s.so.1 and libstdc++.so.6 from /usr/lib32/ to the game root folder
