Only Tested Single Player, but worked great without any changes
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

Even though the game claims it only needs to be online for the first launch, if you try to play while Steam is in offline mode on subsequent launches, the frame rate will be stuck at 20 FPS or lower.
Runs perfectly fine out of the box, significant lag if Offline Mode is turned on manually
If Offline Mode is turned on manually when connected to Wi-Fi, upon boot-up the game will run at significant slowdown with FPS hovering around 20 FPS and dipping as low as 15 FPS. To get around this issue, don't turn on Offline Mode manually. It will run perfectly fine however if you disable Wi-Fi while connected to the Steam servers.
Works out of the box perfectly!
Switching workspaces froze the game and the window would go black. In another instance, the screen froze and kept flashing the game display buffer on screen until I killed my X server and logged out.
Works well now!
Perfect as far as I can tell.
It will just make a process in the background and never open a window
Works out of the box. No issues with Proton 5.13

works fine
I noticed the reports below saying it installs but doesn't run. I noticed that once sometime ago but don't remember what caused it. Played it just now on the latest proton version and it worked fine.

Installs but shows nothing before exiting
The crash is completely silent visually (no crash window)

the game will not run with at least versions 4.2 to most recent version
it will install just fine, but any attempt to run will not open a window and nothing will happen
Works out of the box
I'm addicted to this game so much if it ever stopped working on proton including the GE versions. I'd join the dev team to get it working again.
Had to change my /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and add the option:
Option "DRI" "3"
Inside of the Intel Section
Works out the box with the proton 5.0.9
Tested local multiplayer with Remote Play Together and it worked great
The game works great, including Local Multiplayer. Played with a friend using Remote Play Together. The game runs with no tweaks and if you want to invite a friend or four along for a game of Puyo Puyo and/or Tetris, you can fulfil your dream on your Linux box!
Did not need any tweaks, ran out of the box
- Did not test online
- Played with a Steam Controller
Endless Tetris on Linux!
Works just as well as windows.
Both online and single player work perfectly out of the box
Runs out of the box without any tweaking with Proton 5.0.6

anda perfecto con proton v4.11
con proton v5 puede generar algunos conflictos con vsync y pantalla completa, no he probado en profundidad si se puede arreglar, aún así anda perfecto (aun online) en proton v4.
Works perfectly out of the box, no tweaks needed.

Does not work with Proton 5.0-4
Worked with Proton 5.0-3 and continues to work with Proton 4.11-13.
Aside from some minor issues, I find that this game actually runs better AND looks better on Linux, if that makes any sense.
All player's names use Courier New instead of...whatever font it's supposed to use. This is specially noticeable on Online mode. Because of that, any non-english character shows up as a block.
As someone else pointed out, if you use Windowed mode, the game is supposed to scale with the window, but it doesn't. It keeps the same internal resolution, so everything just looks blurry instead. Maximizing and unmaximizing it will make the game scale properly however.
Works without any problem with the proton 5.0 :)

Crash at first "Saving..." screen
I tried using Proton 3.16, 4.2 and 4.11 without success. I also tried the various fixes mentioned in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/359 also without success.
Could not get it to launch in 4-11. Tested with 3-16 and 4-2

Everything runs great. The menu is a little laggy, but the actual gameplay is smooth as silk. Played online with a friend for about an hour with no issues whatsoever. The only issue I ran into is if you put the game in Windowed mode, it is designed to scale with the Window, but it does not actually scale with the window. That is such a small thing since it plays just fine in all the other modes.
It does not start

Played online and solo. Everything works as expected

Runs perfectly out of the box

Everything worked out of the box without me having to do any tweaks whatsoever.
