Tried the mf-install-cab, clicked like crazy on the black screen. Wont work
Run the game with default proton so it creates the prefix. Install the winetricks package. Run on a terminal: WINEPREFIX="/yoursteamgamesdrive/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/658260/pfx" ./mf-install.sh Then, also run: WINEPREFIX="/yoursteamgamesdrive/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/658260/pfx" winetricks devenum quartz Also, just for peace of mind, get all the gst-plugins (ugly, bad, base, good), their libs and lib32 counterparts. Game will now display cutscenes. Further stability testing needs to be done.
If you have a Windows drive with your savegame, Be sure to copy your save from %USERPROFILE%\Documents\KoeiTecmo\BLUE REFLECTION\ to /steamapps/compatdata/658260/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/KoeiTecmo/BLUE REFLECTION/
In the game's directory, create a dxvk.conf file and paste this: d3d9.deferSurfaceCreation = True d3d11.constantBufferRangeCheck = True Use mf-install and make sure to install all gst plugins and libs, both 32 bit and 64 bit. After that, game will display cutscenes correctly.
Replicate the save directory on the /pfx folder (check pcgw for this matter)
Works OOTB, controller works perfectly fine. No performance degradations nor glitches.
Runs really well, 60 FPS all the time, but the scene when you cry to release sentiments shows a black screen, with sound working.
Proton 5.0+fsync+feral's gamemode got rid of that pesky stutter. OOTB experience, nothing to complain about!
Game gets stuck at "Preparing to launch" Steam screen. But after that it works fine
Game would always crash with proton versions newer than 3.16
Runs perfectly, but in 4.2_7 has its audio cut out after a few minutes. Otherwise the performance is perfect.
Requires child windows patch so official Proton wont work.
Tried proton-ge, proton-tkg, xact+dll overrides. 100% borked and AFAIK, there is no workaround.
Installing xact via either protontricks or winetricks, setting dll overrides for xaudio 2_7 and xactengine3_7 (native then builtin) on Proton-GE-5.9-ST via winecfg on the prefix makes the game work.
Needs child window rendering, that is why you need either Proton-GE or Proton-tkg compiled with child window patch
Aside from the choppyness and cutscenes, the game seems to work fine.
Seems to runa bit choppy
No cutscenes, seems to get stuck but just press "Esc" and it'll work
Its early access, i have some slight framedrops but it may be because the game was released today.
Might be because it's early access, i'm not sure
Crashed after playing 5 minutes (with extreme input lag). Crash says "GetThreadContext failed"
Now works OOTB, is fully playable.
A little framedrops (2 or 3 FPS), but given my last PC had a somewhat better GPU, i can't be so sure.
Tried the 32 bit prefix. Game wont even run. Tried on Debian, Arch, Ubuntu and OpenSUSE.
Game does not play videos, and probably _never_ will
The in-game videos are encoded using the ASF format, present in a lot of games with non-working cutscenes (Nioh 2 for example). I tried mf-plat, xact+klite mega codec pack with other tweaks, Proton-GE, none of them work.
Enable DX12 (if your GPU allows it) for a very noticiable performance bump. I was using DX11 and the game was literally crawling.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
gamemoderun %command%
Game is jittery while exploring and seems to suffer from input lag.
Game kinda runs, but you need a dxvk.conf file with "d3d9.deferSurfaceCreation = True" on the game's directory.
Flickering textures
It would often minimize.
Bad optimization+overhead, causes some FPS drops on some specific scenarios
Crashes every time it tries to load a cutscene
Videos don't play
Game runs, tried it 5 minutes and is working, further testing needs to be done
Game won't even start. Using proton-tkg, game starts, until it needs to load the opening and then crashes with the same error.
Works OOTB, if you use something like Proton-GE or mf-install, initial presentation videos load and work properly.
I have yet to find graphical glitches, still has the crashing issue where it freezes right at the loading screen or when loading a save.
gamemoderun %command%
Games often freezes with no crashing. When it does it's unplayable, when it doesn't, you can play long sessions
Game runs really smooth, some minor stuttering and framedrops, but i think that is because i have to run it on borderless/window mode because fullscreen would cap my fps at 30. Not a higher score because of what i mentioned above.
I just pressed play and it was working flawlessly. Locked 60 FPS, no sttuter, no graphical glitches.
Voices are lost after cutscenes. Sometimes they'll dissapear completely, and sometimes some lines will not be played. Effects also dissapear.
Proton-4.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
winetricks xact devenum quartz
After running xact, and using WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" on launch options, audio works properly
