Worked perfectly out of the box
My friend (using Windows) was unable to join a co-op game when I invited him, but when he invited me to a game it worked without issues.
Completed the game without issues. Performance is adequate, ranging between 40-90 fps at 1440p.
Works with the 64-bit version after the latest patch. There is flickering and a small audio delay without any proton flags but the performance is comparable to Windows. Flickering disappears with the PROTON_NO_D3D11 flag, but it also halves the performance.
The Steam Nextfest demo works out of the box but the performance isn't great. I finished the demo without any other issues.
The game is not finished so the performance of the final product might be better
Works perfectly out of the box and the performance is much better than the native version.
Completed the game without any issues aside from not being able to alt-tab back to the game. The game would instantly minimize after alt-tabbing back to it.
Worked flawlessly with an AMD GPU without any tinkering. No issues starting the game with Wayland either.
Changing renderer to DX12 and using XeSS for upscaling gives the best performance/visuals.
Works perfectly after disabling Esync. Otherwise crashes after a few minutes.
Works perfectly in fullscreen. Windowed mode has a slight vertical offset in the image that makes the cursor position wrong as it's not offset, i.e., you need to point slightly above objects in the image to actually hit them.
Game works well enough to play through enjoyably but saving often is recommended due to game itself being prone to crashing.
Some crackling when the fps drops happen but none otherwise.
Alt-tabbing does not work whatsoever.
Overall the game runs well but after an hour or so I start getting random slowdowns where the fps drops to 20-40 for a bit. I even had a case during a long session where I had 2 fps in the party selection screen when trying to enter an area from the world map. It was fine again after restarting the game. These performance issues seem to happen on Windows too.
Crashes occur pretty randomly and were much more frequent before setting "Point light shadow resolution" to 0. With that change, the crashes very rarely happen. The vm.max_map_count fix suggested by another report had no effect on the game crashing. After about 30 hours I started getting crashes when exiting the game. The crashing also seems to be an issue on Windows.
Works great like the other games in the series. Has occasional performance issues on some maps that is an issue with the game itself.
When starting the game, it would always start misaligned and would require changing to windowed and then back to fullscreen to fix. Alt-tabbing does nothing.
Completed the game with Proton. Performance is great for the most part aside from the mentioned maps. I didn't use any online functionality.
Some maps have sections where fps drops to 20.
Game works well out of the box. The few performance issues I've encountered also exist on Windows.
Cutscenes sometimes don't work even after using the mf-install workaround, but the story isn't the strong point of the games anyway.
Works well but with lower performance than on Windows. Audio does not work but listening to your own music while playing is better anyway.
No audio whatsoever
Low quality textures even with high settings. The fix was to increase video memory size with winetricks with the following WINEPREFIX=/path/to/steamapps/compatdata/7200/pfx winetricks videomemorysize=2048
Steam Nextfest alpha demo worked perfectly out of the box
Alpha build so performance is not indicative of the performance of the finished product
Mouse clicks don't register most of the time. Clicking multiple times on the menu buttons' lower edge did enable me to get into the main game, but the same input issues were there too, making the game unplayable.
Crashes on exit
