Maybe some would not care, but to play the game with an account is not possible
Since the introduction of the account system, I can no longer play the game with full functionality, because I can not create an account.
Worked perfectly out of the box
- disable UPlay overlay if you don't want to have a big blue rectangle in the top right corner
- Multiplayer works as good as the game itself

sometimes crackels with Headphones (PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 did nothing)
everything is black in konpeki plaza an not tell motel. Not sure if its the missing textures, because you can see the textures in hacking mode
game often freezes after trying to Alt+Tab. Though sometimes (when you are in menu) it works. Just go to the video settings and change from border-less window to window an back, to get rid of the control panel of your DE
sometimes it crashes every 10 minutes, and sometimes it doesn't crash for hours
At first I couldn't get back to the main menu without the game crashing
performance wise it works i would say way better than expected, nearly as good as on windows.
It worked out of the Box!
It would make sense to have a look at the settings, as the game starts in window mode by default, and not in fullscreen. I also had to save the game manually in the settings each time. But all in one, no serious problems!
The game is really fun to play, but the frequent crashes make actually playing the game a bit harder.
Slight audio crackling when driving really fast. Solved with "E_LATENCY_MSEC=90" in start options
Sometimes when driving through the open world there's some flickering (seems like there is something wrong with geometry, idk)
Seems like the game consists of 2 Windows, one of them is just black. Switching between windows is weird, but works.
Sometimes I'm abled to play for 3 hours or even more, but most of the time it just crashes after a few seconds/minutes. Getting further in the story is quite difficult, as the game often crashes when loading the main missions once you have made it there.
You need Proton Experimental bleeding edge or Proton7.0rc3-GE-1 to get the game start properly. Even then you may need a few approaches.
Playing online is possible and works pretty well, but creating or joining clubs wasn't possible in my case, as well as adding friends. I think the game would open the x-box overlay (Windows+G) for that. Just add your friends in windows or on the x-box website. Playing in Convoys is no problem.
Getting further in the story is quite difficult, as the game often crashes when loading the main missions once you have made it there.
The way too long loading screens, the unskippable intro sequences and the fact that you have to restart the game every time after changing the graphics settings are especially annoying when you have to restart the game several times to even start playing properly.
Runs perfectly without having to change anything. Except for one thing it runs at least as good as on Windows.
when you're Alt-tabbing in and out of GTA, it doesn't stay in full screen mode, it becomes a window.
there's no cursor in the social club overlay (...makes adding friends a bit difficult, but it is possible)
Game crashes when I hit 'play' or 'options' in the Game-menue
after a second installation it worked perfectly
probably the game still needed proton/wine/steam software, which i probably got by installing other games with proton (and therefore additional software). Although I didn't set any boot options, the game ran without any problems on the second install. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway, everything's running smoothly now.
somehow worked after a few tries (took me like half an hour to get this thing running, but i didn't need to use a custom proton version)

Turn off VSync
crashed a few times at the beginning of the story (I disabled cloud-save and it worked but i could use it again later on without any problems)
works much better with 20.04 (had 18.04 before)

unlike Battlefront II this Part works with the normal Proton 5.0-9. And all in one better than i thought it would.
The only problem: small fps-drops here and there (depending on the scenario), but I can live with that
the Origin launcher was black, and if i tried to launch it via virtual desktop, origin crashed.
custom proton: GE-1-MF
Works perfectly. Never played it on Windows, but I can't imagine it running better. 60FPS with everything set to max.
