Игра пройдена. Шла практически идеально, если не брать в расчет, что очень сильно тормозила на моем железе. Чтобы fps держался стабильно выше 30, пришлось в настройках Breathedge/Breathedge/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GameUserSettings.ini sg.ResolutionQuality ставить 60.

worked perfectly after switching to eperimental. the graphics might be slightly off not sure as i've not played it on windows.
launching without changing to eperimental results in a long launch time and then a crash.

Video files don't play if using steam proton, changing it to GE-Proton fixes this.

Pops up a prerequsite to install then just closes.

I haven't encountered any issues at all yet. All runs smoothly and not skipped any bits of gameplay.
Installed vcrun2022 package to provide the Visual C++ libraries

OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%
Frozen black screen at the end of the initial cutscene (requires Alt+F4), but you can skip the cutscene when creating a new game. I still recomend playing through the cutscene the first time, to have the whole story.
Crashes 2min after launch if the OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000
env. variable is not set (same bug exists on Windows).
The bug requiring setting the environment variable has been described on many sources, mostly on Windows. The discussions tab is full of mentions of crashes (12 pages when searching for "crash"). Breathedge seems to be unstable whether or not you use Linux, but using Linux might make things even worse.

It worked OTB but without media foundation videos. After some playing with winetricks problem has been solved.
I've removed all previously instaled dll's - to get media foundation working
If you own this game from Epic use Heroic with GE-Proton8 (it also worked with 7) - works well for me including media foundation

Does not work
I have tried it with proton and GE-proton. To fix the Visual C++ error I installed the previous version from the beta channel. I skipped the intro but the game still crashes after a few minutes.

To pass the Visual C++ error on the latest patch fixing issue with Intel CPU, in Winetricks go to Run Explorer, and navigate to /home/USERNAME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Steamworks Shared/_CommonRedist/vcredist/2022/ and execute and install both the x86 and x64 version in the folder.
Bad framerate
May need to try the Previous Version beta in the game properties to see if performance is better on this version

Playable after rolling back to pre-intel fix patch
So previously I was getting an issue with the game after the developer released a patch to fix a crashing issue with the latest Intel Chipsets. After playing around I ended up rolling back to the previous patch and this fixed it.
In Steam, under properties for the game>Betas>Beta participation change this to previousversion.
This worked for both desktop and SteamDeck
Failes with a "you must have Visual C++ installed" error :(

Working ok until latest patch
Game was working fine on both desktop and Steamdeck until patch on Dec 21st 2023. Now when launching prompts to say "The following component(s) are rquire to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Possibly be able to fix it with winetricks but not tried yet.

gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game crashes on the beginning cutscene, you should skip it
The game is very playable, didn't find any issue outside the game freezing on the start cutscene, you should just skip it and the game should play as normal

in game graphics options: 30 fps, turn shadows to low, turn post processing to low. Yields a very low power draw.
Game hangs at the end of the beginning video, the (easy) workaround is to chose "X" to skip the opening video when starting a new game.
Game hangs at the end of the beginning video, the (easy) workaround is to chose "X" to skip the opening video when starting a new game.

Played about an hour.
With stock Protons or older GE the game hangs after an introductory scene but choosing Skip Intro at game creation doesn't miss anything important. Introduction scenes play through properly with GE 8-4. Can run in DX12 with -dx12 launch option.
Although not necessary I ran it with gamescope for a touch of FSR:
gamemoderun gamescope -H 1080 -U -b -- %command%
WINEPREFIX="[game-location]" PROTON="[proton-location]" /tmp/mf/mf-install.sh -proton
Cinematics and game itself runs, but only in this particular config.
Installed MF using this command, without it the game got stuck on the intro cutscene
git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install.git /tmp/mf && \
WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/738520/pfx" \
PROTON="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton 7.0/" \
/tmp/mf/mf-install.sh -proton

Ran the following, adapted from in some comments below.
git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install.git /tmp/mf && \
WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/738520/pfx" \
PROTON="$HOME/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton7-28/" \
/tmp/mf/mf-install.sh -proton
I was able to launch without tinkering, but get stuck like in most reports after the intro video. Changing to GE on its own didn't help. The mf-install
seemed to be key. After that, the game ran perfectly.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
When using a fullscreen resolution lower I was getting a smaller window in the corner of my screen.
When starting to play, the game crash right after displaying the chapter 1 message. I was unable to actually play. This issue was present with both Proton 7.0-3 and GE-Proton7-28.

WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 gamemoderun %command%
The game started up and initial playing out of the box, but after the Intro it crashed on any Proton version (GE, Experimental, Vanilla) and only worked after the mf install as suggested by other players.
Worked out of the box, all cutscenes are shown normally and mf-install is no longer required
Autosaving causes a very minor lag spike.
Completed the game. There were only problems with the display of the in-game video, but this does not interfere much.
In-game videos are not displayed. There is no way to see the final video. But this does not prevent you from completing the game.
mf-install is still superior to Proton GE for now. Do not expect further bugfixes for this game in Proton GE.
GloriousEggroll Proton GE 6.20-1
Intro splash video has incorrect YUV conversion and no audio, rest of the videos seem fine.
Unable to play story video past "Chapter 1" starting new game
General instability with Media Foundation implementation

Game was running smooth other than not being able to enjoy the intro to the game! Widescreen 3440x1440 on a GTX 3080

Using this: https://github.com/DavidoTek/ProtonUp-Qt That allows you to select, download, and install custom versions of Proton-GloriousEggroll
With every version of native or forked proton, the "intro" freezes the game on "Chapter 1" text.
When selecting difficulty, click "Skip Intro" and game has been fine since
Game would not boot on native Proton 6.20 or native Proton Experimental. I had to use Proton-GloriousEggroll
Game tends to crash without mf-install and also no videos (obviously).
GloriousEggroll Proton GE 6.15-2
YUV conversion for Media Foundation MP4 playback is incorrect. Maps black as purple.
Need at least 1060ti
nvidia 1050ti, I guess it's because the performance of my PC.
On a 12-core CPU using taskset -c 1-8 %command%
(see here) for the launch options let the startup video and in-game video tapes play correctly.
I advise you to use Proton 6.3 with mf-install, because the game works perfectly and without crashes. Change WINEPREFIX="path to game/738520/pfx" and PROTON="path to proton/Proton 6.3" if necessary.
git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install.git /tmp/mf && \

Custom Proton GloriousEggroll Proton 6.0-GE-1
Crash on exit, crash on intro cinematic after starting a new game (use skip intro feature to bypass crash)
"clearcpuid=514" Grub boot argument crashes the game, is incompatible with Media Foundation patches.
The "clearcpuid=514" fix for Ryzen 3000 CPUs detailed here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2927 breaks the Media Foundation patches with the current default 5.4 kernel for Ubuntu 20.04.1. Test system was a Ryzen 5800X and was able to consistently get the game to crash with that Grub argument in place.

GloriousEggroll Media Foundation patches crash the game on Ubuntu 20.04.1
Custom Proton GloriousEggroll 5.9 and 5.21 instantly crash when run on Ubuntu 20.04.1. A error is shown and the game instantly crashes, sometimes completely crashing the graphics driver. GloriousEggroll 5.8 mysteriously does work on 20.04.1.
Surprise! Normally you have to tinker around if you are using debian stable.. Maybe it runs fine due to usage of kernel 5.9.0-0.bpo.2-amd64?
Proton 5.9-GE-7-ST GloriousEggroll
Using TSC as a clocksource is mandatory. Switching to HPET causes performance to degrade to as low as 25% of TSC's performance.
This game requires TSC clocksource and will perform far worse if the clocksource is set to HPET. If your processor does not support TSC, use the "acpi_pm" clocksource which is less affected by performance loss. (use "clocksource=tsc" as a kernel boot argument to ensure TSC is used)
Plays perfect after using mf-install
Videos do not play without the mf-install workaround
Works great as is
Controller support not tested.
