Game was running smooth other than not being able to enjoy the intro to the game! Widescreen 3440x1440 on a GTX 3080

Using this: https://github.com/DavidoTek/ProtonUp-Qt That allows you to select, download, and install custom versions of Proton-GloriousEggroll
With every version of native or forked proton, the "intro" freezes the game on "Chapter 1" text.
When selecting difficulty, click "Skip Intro" and game has been fine since
Game would not boot on native Proton 6.20 or native Proton Experimental. I had to use Proton-GloriousEggroll
I play on Ultrawide (3440x1440) on a GTX 3080 and game ran flawlessly. Game intro/loading video has video clips that don't load.
NOTE: when you are "dropping in" everyone experiences frame drops; Windows or Linux. Please don't assume it's limited to you or Linux/Proton.

Game launches Linux version (that was dropped) unless you force Proton for the Windows version.
Properties > Compatibility > Force compatibility
