The game works just fine out of the box using Proton 7.0-3. I still haven't played for long, but so far there's not a single issue in sight.

The game overall works well, with Proton GE, but I had to disable FSync and ESync otherwise Ubisoft Connect would stay stuck on Looking for patches...
(Or something similar). Since I disabled those options I haven't tried going back to the official Proton distribution.

When using a fullscreen resolution lower I was getting a smaller window in the corner of my screen.
When starting to play, the game crash right after displaying the chapter 1 message. I was unable to actually play. This issue was present with both Proton 7.0-3 and GE-Proton7-28.
Almost... maybe
I was able to install and start the game. On my end I was able to reach the main menu, but it isn't able to connect to the game server. My controller wouldn't work either. When trying to quit the game, I would have to kill the process manually. Even if the window isn't there, I would still have the main menu music playing.

The native multiplayer works just time, was able to join other player, get invaded and all that. Also tried the Seemless Coop mod, also works just fine, players were able to join my world without issue.
Not there yet.
The initial load time was really long but, I was able to get to the main menu using Proton 7.0-3 and had a fairly good FPS, but when trying to start an expedition the game would just crash. Tried using Proton Experimental, the main menu was struggling with 2 FPS, because of that I didn't even try to start an expedition. Didn't try to use Proton GE.
The menus work just fine, but as soon as you get into the game is slide show time with less than 10fps on low setting. On windows on the same hardware I get ~40fps on medium.
Could not even get into a game
Some peope recommend to install .net 4.8 with the following command:
protontrick 244850 --force dotnet48
The following command just fails and the single time it worked, the game wouldn't start anymore.
I can get to the main menu without issue, but that's about it. I tried creating/joining games without success. Either the game would get stuck on the loading screen, or would simply crash to desktop. I think I was only able to get into a game once.
I tried using ge-proton7-49 and proton7.0-5 neither worked (tried those since some people reported that it worked for them). I tried by installing .net 4.8, which never actually worked (game wouldn't boot or .net wouldn't install). Some other people said it might be an issue with the grass, so I always made sure it was set to a density of 0.
Nothing worked. The game is borked for said version of proton and using the automaton beta.
Works great!
Overall the audio quality is on par with Windows, but the audio might ended up degrading, but seems to be a rare occurrence.
It happened a few times where my Xbox controller wouldn't work. Sometimes I had to connect another controller and set my own controller as player 2 to get it to work, or just reboot.
It happened a few time where the game would crash on the splash screen telling me that the computer doesn't support some feature. Just restart the game and it works.
No issues here.
I was able to install, start the game and play without any issue, using Proton Steam 7.0_1. No issue so far after completing the Assembly Hall.
Mostly perfect!
Is stuttery at time, but might just be my aging hardware.
Works great, I'm able to party with friends or join public groups. Though, being a P2P game, multiplayer experience greatly depends on the quality of the connectivity with the host.
Take note that the shader pre-caching can be an excessively long process especially the first time, took me around 2h to run the initial pre-cache, just be patient and let it run.
