Runs with no issues
Needed to use mesa_glthread=false otherwise the game will not display image. Other than that, game works perfectly.
Used Proton 7.0-5 flatpak community build.
Besides the screen format, game plays fine as it is.
Reduced TDP (around 5-6 Watts) and GPU Clock (maybe 500 Hz). Still experimenting here, but plays fine. Refresh Rate needs to be set to 60. If lower Refresh Rate and Framerate Limit is set, then the game plays like slow motion.
Game isn't exactly made for Deck, you play in a short noodle in the middle of screen
Runs flawlessly, if you can get your hands on a key (game was pulled from Steam store)
Works great on steamdeck
works out of the box.
Doesn't launch
Tried the launch options mentioned in the other reports. couldn't get it to start. Without the launch option, the steam doesn't even try to start it. With the launch option never get past "prepairing to start game"
Works perfectly fine, as long as you didn't tinker with your driconf to enable mesa_glthread beforehand.
If you did enable mesa_glthread globally, the game will launch into a black screen while audio plays in the background. To circumvent that issue, you can either disable that flag globally (which is the default mesa thread model), or add mesa_glthread=false
to the game's launch options.
The game works perfectly out of the box, but it plays in a small letterbox that really wastes the Deck's screen and is hard to see.
Significant amounts of text throughout the game are very small on the Deck's screen, especially in the tutorial/selection menus.
Works out of the box including the videos
mesa_glthread=false
Use mesa_glthread=false if you have an AMD video card with mesa_glthread=true globally
Plays perfectly
Playing as the fairy is difficult on the Deck's screen, due to her very small size. It's easy to lose track of where you are on the screen, especially in later stages.
Works with no tinkering required
Using Proton 7
Game works out of the box
No issues running the game with 2 DUALSHOCK 4 controllers, both solo and with a friend locally.
Worked great out of the box.
Runs absolutely perfect since more than a year. :)
Game runs flawlessly out of the box with great performance
Plays pretty good, except there are invisible objects on the second special mission and stage 8 which can kill you if you run into them.
Runs great out of the box, but the game is less faithful to the legacy of its namesake than I would like, and runs in a weird, letter-boxed, arcade-mode format that feels unusually small no matter how many resolution and display tweaks I've tried in game. It is totally playable, though (try the fairy)!
Solid 60 fps on my hp chromebook x360 played using my xbox one controller
Perfect out of the box, Nintendo Switch Pro controller also tested and worked fine over Bluetooth.
Game itself runs perfect and without any issues. DualShock 4 Controller constantly moves in the upper left corner, Keyboard controls works fine
It runs well with fine performance and playable by Keyboard, but the Xbox 360 Controller is not recognised within the game, despite correct and configured Steam Controller Settings and detected Xbox 360 Controller in Steam. When "Steam Input Per-Game Settings" turned "forced off", the Controller is actually working, but it keeps pushing to the up-right corner without any chance to control direction, which renders the game completely unplayable.
If you want to use a Xbox One controller, enable Steam Xbox controller support (it fixes the controller pushing up all the time).
As as others have reported, works for the most part except Xbox controllers keeps inputting up. I've tried a generic USB joystick and don't have the same problem.
Works great on Solus, can't confirm controller-issue though.
Everything seems to work. XBOX One Controller keeps inputting UP (keyboard works tho).
Everything works, except when Xbox One controller is plugged in (through USB) keeps pulling direction up. Some have reported same problem on Win.
