Cannot reliably hit 30, let alone maintain it.
I've tried a variety of settings and fixes including ones listed on this page and the performance is shockingly bad despite being verified and having a Deck specific graphics preset. I don't know what's changed in the three months since the last post on this page but I'd only call it playable by a razor thin margin, it entirely comes down to your ability to deal with sub-30 frame rates and the classic FSR pixel vaseline blur.

Tested with:
- Proton: 9.0-3.
- Display server: Wayland.
- Resolution: 3440 x 1440.

Just worked
Was even able to install the toybox mod and that just works too

Needs some adjustment for resolution and FSR.

Given that proton-cachyos is pretty much the standard Proton version in the Distro I'll see this as a non tinker report
Game runs also well with normal Proton. GE-Proton and - in this case - proton-cachyos will just give it that extra boost in performance. It basically feels like a native game: Easy plug and play. Love playing it under Linux on my big rig :)

Runs like a dream
Steam defaulted to Experimental and it feels damn near native.

Runs great out of the box
It runs fast on ultra, but it seems to make my computer hotter then it should, considering it doesn't have that many fancy visuals.
Except for some extra cooler work which doesn't seem necessary, I have no complaints.
All good

To switch to keyoboard and mouse input, you have to call up the Steam keyboard (Steam+X) then press the spacebar of the Steam keyboard. This will pull up a dialog box asking if you'd like to switch to keyboard and mouse input.
Great game, runs well, but it always starts assuming you're going to use a controller or the game pad. Switching to keyboard and mouse input is unintuitive and you can never set it as the default. Hopefully they'll fix this in a future patch.

With proton from GloriousEggroll I didn't have to do anything except just play.

Buy it, download & install it, start it, have a great time!
Works like a charm out of the box. Running with Nvidia card under KDE with wayland.

Downloaded using Heroic Games Launcher from my Epic Games account. Game just worked out of the box. I'm using KDE running on X11 not Wayland.

Limit to 40 FPS
GOG version installed with Proton. Game runs perfect with Proton 9 and I have no issue at all playing. Companiom's movement with controller had some issues with pathfinding, though, but very minors.

default setting with vsync to "every second frame" and FSR ultra quality and get 40 fps in standalone and 60+ in docked mode while enabling SSR and HBAO (Which come disabled by default)
getting the deck to sleep, hung the device ONCE

Game seems to be unoptimized not necessarily related to proton or linux
Almost everything just works with the recommended Lutris wine ge version with no tinkering.
Only issue is the Unity Mod Manager everything is blank, shows the buttons for the mods but all text is missing.
(Purchased on GOG rather than Steam)
Crash at startup

Mix of high, medium and low. FSR to quality with TAA disabled. TAA causes extreme blur with FSR enabled. Leave framerate unlocked as limiting FPS significantly increases loading times.
TDP to 11
works flawless out of the box, no tinkering

The game can't be played until its end in its current state. Not because of any Proton bug, just because the heretical developers left such an amount of bugs that advancing can, and will, lead to game breaking situations and you'll get stuck somewhere and abandon it. Frustration aside, it's nice to see such a beautifully smooth experience out of the box and from day 1.

Runs out of the box.
No technical issues and runs pretty well.
Game runs just fine. I run the High preset with FSR1 on highest preset with 4K resolution and I get stable 60+ FPS basically everywhere.
gamemoderun gamescope -f -H 2160 -- mangohud %command%

Disable half-rate shading, otherwise the UI will be blurry / deep-fried.
Not proton-related, just still buggy.
One cutscene failed to show video, but still played the audio. May have been an issue with the game itself rather than the OS.
Game Crashes after character creation

Battery life is about 2 hours, and only "complaint" is that it chuggs just a bit when on the ship. (just released though, so may be an optimization thing) All in all, works perfectly as is with the defaults!

Very blurry when FSR and TAA enabled
Does not exit cleanly. Must be aborted.
ran out of the box, nothing to do but play :D

Game works fine - a few issues with cutscenes but does not appear to be related to running on linux. Custom portraits work, in character creation if you choose to use one you need to alter something on the character (face, tattoo, etc) for it to fully load the custom portrait.
