sometimes game slowed down
Works well with proton 8. Newer versions of proton provide better performance, but lead to frequent crashes.
I finished it twice to get Post Human trophy. It took about 19 hour. It crashed twice. Other than that worked fine for me.

The only issue is the crash I mentioned. Because it stops progress completely, the game should be considered unplayable.
Audio would very occasionally stop for about two seconds, only on one level (blow open doors with APC turret)
Game would crash to desktop, guaranteed on one level (blow open doors with APC turret).
There seems to be one very specific bug that I can't track down, causing crashes.

Works out of the box
Finished the game without any issues.

Works out of the box with some crashes
in ~8h playtime 3 crashes to desktop

Doesn't work; keeps freshing my DE
Crysis 1 Remastered worked just fine. Crysis 2 Remastered, on the other hand, does not. Whenever I change a setting the game freezes, and eventually freezes my DE too. I cannot play it.

Freezes my desktop environment
Game launches but shows a black screen before minimizing and freezing my desktop environment completely.

Good experience OOTB. Crashes on Windows too aparently
I had a few random crashes that also seem to be an issue on windows. A few hours in and only an occasional inconvenience, not a major issue.

Game crashes frequently, i changed proton versions from 9.0-4 to expermintal and lower. The crashes are randomly and very annoying. I did read Windows users have issues with this game as well, some managed to fix it but others did not. I get between 80fps and 160fps with settings at high, raytracing disabled otherwise i lose alot of fps. The game runs butter smooth, like i whas playing it on a Windows machine.

Works perfectly fine

DXVK_ASYNC=1 RADV_PERFTEST='emulate_rt' gamemoderun %command% -USEALLAVAILABLECORES
only in the mission briefing videos the audio would cut out every half second
game window disappeared and randomly switched monitors when it lost focus
runs at ~10 fps less than on xbox 360 with raytracing

Cause of lock-ups from previous report was raytracing, disabled it and lock-ups are no longer an issue.

Frequent lock ups requiring a restart. Might have to do with the use of open source nvidia drivers.

You don't need to use my lauch options. It runs fine without them.

Игра неплохо работает в 2К расширении, используя DLSS. Сначала, я использовал DLSS - качество, но после проблемы с производительностью, пришлось переключить на БАЛАНС. Остальные настройки выставленны максимально, кроме трасировки лучей - производительность.

With custom proton version and this mess of a launch options I got the FPS drops and stutters to stop and actually be enjoyable.

Major FPS drops without launch options and custom proton version.
Played at ultra settings with tray tracing on performance and DLSS at Balanced at 1440p.
When running the game in fullscreen mode at 1080p resolution, there are noticeable frame rate drops when entering stealth, defense mode, or simply running. To address this issue, you can resolve it by switching to windowed borderless mode while playing in desktop mode.
The game performs optimally when played with a keyboard and mouse setup at 1080p resolution when using minimal graphical settings. Note to use windowed borderless mode.

Worked OOTB no tinkering
Runs good OOTB.
Some occasional stutters even with Raytracing disabled.
Runs good with raytracing quality set to performance.

I had about 3 crashes during 11 hours of playing. It might just be the game though. I doubt Proton is at fault.

Install and play, cool
Does not launch if you have raytracing enabled. If you tried to start a campaign with raytracing enabled you might need to start a new one.
It works but it seems to have something wrong yet, it don't runs that well like other remasters did.
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_MODE=ultra %command%
Some stutters in several parts and lots of FPS drops in a few areas with Ray Tracing Disable.
From all the Crysis remasters, this one seems to perform worse, with some input latency and some micro stutterings. Also in some areas I had experienced a considerable FPS drop, even with FSR enabled and ray tracing disabled.
On NVIDIA cards, turning off raytracing fixed the black screen / freeze at the start of the game, Deck worked OOB with expiremental, raytracing or not

I measured my framerate and frame times via MangoHud. I've done this via installing and enabling the mangohud service on and then modifying the startup command to this:
mangohud %command%
Works Perfectly
I went into Engine/CvarGroups and changed the Very High preset to be the console settings preset with a few tweaks, runs at a locked 40 fps (except some occasional shader compilation stutter)
40HZ refresh rate
No tinkering required, just play on straight Low or Medium settings and you can enjoy the game.
I set resolution to 900p but it felt like 1080p. I didn't tweak to activate FSR.
Game starts but when creating a new save the game loads but then displays a black screen then gets stuck on it
Not working
