Runs better on Linux than on Windows, just make sure to force Proton Experimental instead of the native version
The native version is outdated, but the Windows version runs really great using Proton Experimental.
It runs really smooth.
It works but it seems to have something wrong yet, it don't runs that well like other remasters did.
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_MODE=ultra %command%
Some stutters in several parts and lots of FPS drops in a few areas with Ray Tracing Disable.
From all the Crysis remasters, this one seems to perform worse, with some input latency and some micro stutterings. Also in some areas I had experienced a considerable FPS drop, even with FSR enabled and ray tracing disabled.
Runs really well, no tweak needed. Even Ray Tracing works without setting any custom launch parameter
Runs great, no tweak needed, playing it with a DualSense controller, works fine.
Runs really great, I haven't played this game till now because it didn't run fine on Windows, but on Linux it worked flawlessly.
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH=2 %command
It works great on Proton Experimental and Proton 7 as well, but I have used GE in order to use FSR, which helped me with the performance since this game is very intensive, and it worked really nice on ultra using FSR.
Works flawless without any tweak needed
Very fun and fast paced game, I had no issues running it on Proton, everything works really well.
While playing with Proton, the game runs very well. Trying to run the native version, some textures are upside down, and it doesn't load your save, forcing you to either start a new game, or manually import your saves. Also playing with Proton gives me a better performance.
Runs great. It has some optimization issues, make sure you have a really good CPU to run, these issues are present on Windows as well.
%command% +gfx_strAPI "Vulkan" +sfx_strAPI "OpenAl"
Had to force OpenAL. You can set it using launch options or in-game settings. XAudio 2.7 works as well but XAudio 2.9 (default option) doesn't work.
Game runs great, had to change XAudio to OpenAL on audio options, and also changed the graphical API to Vulkan, which works better.
The editor however, has several issues.
- While on Vulkan, it don't open without a custom library to ignore X11 errors
- Even when it opens, tabs have several rendering issues.
- While on Direct3D11, it has random crashes, also due X11 errors, but even if you manage to ignore those errors, it hangs everything.
- If you disable DXVK it runs without errors, but can't use the simulation since everything is rendered black.
I'm one of the testers for The Talos Principle 2, and the games works really well there, with Proton Experimental or Proton 8. For AMD cards, if the game says you don't have DX12, you're probably running with AMDVLK or PRO. You should use RADV for this game and you'll have no issues at all. The full game is complete playable, with a good experience. Xbox Controllers are supported out-the-box, DualSense needs Steam Input but work really well.
