had to create ~/.asoundrc file as detailed here
Frequent lock ups requiring a restart. Might have to do with the use of open source nvidia drivers.
Cause of lock-ups from previous report was raytracing, disabled it and lock-ups are no longer an issue.
Crashes every 45 minutes to one hour, if caught in time you can use STEAM + B
to close the game. If you don't catch it in time, the game will do one of the following:
- Completely lock up and hold the rest of the Steam Deck hostage, only correctable by holding the power button to forcefully restart.
- Completely lock up and then crash the rest of the system almost like the kernel is correcting from an out of memory (OOM) state. Steam will restart and all should be good.
When using the physical volume buttons there is a chance that the game will suddenly pretend that your controller is actually a keyboard and mouse setup. While everything remains mostly functional, your sensitivity will most likely change and your weapon wheel will most likely no longer be a weapon wheel (unless you change it to a radial menu for keyboard and mouse). The only way to fix it is completely closing and relaunching the game.
