Works with Proton
Was able to play through fully. The cinematics work without issues as well.

Had to use Proton 7 because since Nvidia 545 driver update, I cannot use Proton 8 at all.

Always On Command: Touchscreen Native Support
Game defaults to High graphic settings. Set to Medium for a smooth 60 FPS
I've noticed that the game not longer supports native touchscreen (2 finger to zoom in and out like on mobile) on newer Proton versions. I've tested Proton 7.0-6 and it started working again. Will need to enable Touchscreen Native Support in the controller settings under Action Sets and add an Always On Command.
Crashed on a launch one time

Final cutscene was audible only in the left speaker of my headphones.
Great experience, aside of the forementioned audio bug, which was exclusive of the final cutscene: audio was normal throughout my time playing.
Finished game without issues
Works seemlessly without any user intervention.
Reducing the game window (anytime going out of focus) the game would go black and crash
No issue, all was smooth except for the bug mentionned;
the game crashes on curiosity room chapter "eyeball" scene if you don't use a custom proton version
Two cutscenes were completely mangled: incorrect colors, playback fps was low, and audio was distorted.
Overall
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I had 0 issues with controls, audio, or performance. The control issues I encountered in previous games were non-existent. I used the touchscreen primarily, and the touchpad when I needed to be accurate.
Cutscene Issues
Two cutscenes were completely unwatchable for me: 1) the one from the perspective of the mannequin, and 2) the final cutscene. The video playback was distorted, as well as the audio.

At first I tried using Proton-GE. I tried GE-Proton7-16, Proton-6.19-GE-2 and Proton-6.15-GE-2 all of them had very distorted Graphics in the "eyeball" scene (white, green and purple lines all accross the screen). But with Proton 6.3-8 those problems dissappeared and I was able to finish the game.
Excepting the fact that you'll need to install a custom proton version, the game runs really smoothly
Game crash when entering the mannequin eye (level 3). Using Proton-7.1-GE-2 fixed it

When using two monitors + fullscreen, cursor will render slightly off of primary monitor when moved all the way to the side (but is unable to click away from game)
Set Proton version in Steam to experimental because I read about a bug (eyeball). Played way past that point without any issues at all.
Glorious Eggrolls Proton-6.5-GE-2
Controller not supported. It's a Point & Click game afterall. Link to Glorious Eggroll's custom proton here
Would not recommend for Linux at this moment. Dev is not fixing bugs found on Linux due to Windows specific features.
Unable to progress past mannequin eye. Loaded and progressed on windows machine, then reloaded the save. Same with the ending. Cannot view ending unless using Windows. It is possible I am missing a codec, but haven't had issues with other games so far. Dev is currently not supporting Linux. Other than those two issues, the games runs flawlessly.

Glorious Eggroll Proton-6.1-GE-2
With Proton 5.13-6 I ran into the eyeball / black screen bug. Moving over to Glorious Eggroll, the game ran flawlessly.
Perfect experience
game freezes sometimes after several minutes in background
Experiences a black screen each time I enter the "eyeball's room". Saw on youtube that a video should be played at this moment. Problem fixed with proton experimental 5.13-20210126

Glorious Eggroll's Proton is needed in order to play the final cutscene (it stays stuck on a black screen otherwise and doesn't move to the "completed game" screen). The rest of the game works totally fine with the default Proton though.
Use Proton-GE-6.1 to avoid game breaking "Curiosity Room Eyeball bug".

rodando muito bem
only known bugs that occur on Windows too

Fatal black screen bug when you play chapter 3.
In chapter 3. When I put the eyeball into the human model and go through into it, the game showed a black screen forever.
