Great racing game. Works perfectly.

Works out of the box
Just install and click play

No issues at all

Aside from online multiplayer being removed with the latest update, game runs perfect. Has launcher configuration window, and newly added workshop mod support window, but can be disabled in Steam when launching the title.

Big caveat that it doesn't want to let the deck sleep, but if you're aware of that all else works perfectly.
The deck refuses to sleep while Ultimate Carnage is running. If I press the power button to sleep, it plays the sleep animation and then the Deck immediately cuts back on.
Broken and unplayable on Both Windows and Linux!
Runs absolutely perfectly on default settings. Can achieve 90fps even while limiting TDP to 7W or below.

Прошел с удовольствием.При лимите тдп на максимальных настройках выдает 60фпс За 25 часов было 2 случайных краша игры,что не критично
TDP limit 6w

Works fine with proton 8.0.5, finished first cups of all classes, cheat codes works, after that played until to last cup of Derby class.
Perfectly works. Didn't tried with Proton experimental or beta.

In Collector's Edition there is no multiplayer.

Only way to play this game on SteamDeck is using illegal sites
gamemoderun %command%
force 50Hz
sometimes if first song in race ends new one do not start, sound effect work just fine
An odd custom user-submitted control scheme was selected by default. I changed this back to standard Gamepad controls, as the game has native controller support
Worked straight out-of-the-box, using Proton 7.0-6. No further tweaks needed to get the game running. Multiplayer is either dead or doesn't work due to Games for Windows Live integration

very easy start. with latest proton ge, just run the game without tinkering with xlive.dll
50 fps lock
Works generally fine after setting GE-Proton, putting a dummy xlive.dll in the game directory, and changing the Refresh Rate to 50Hz
Rarely, certain sound effects don't play (such as nitro, explosions or engine sounds)
Anisotropic filtering doesn't seem to apply properly, 16x looks slightly blurrier than it should
Frame pacing issues/stuttering above 50 FPS. Lock to 50Hz/50FPS with Gamescope to fix
Finishing a race sometimes turns the screen black. On the default Proton (instead of GE), it crashes the game instead
If you already have a save file and you want to switch to GE-Proton, BACK UP YOUR SAVE FILE FIRST as switching the compatibility layer will delete it!
followed tinker instructions to download the 32-bit version in links and change name to xlive.dll (once placed in steam folder)
had to turn off steam input in game controller menu and reset game; in game change to xbox controller
Must follow directions to download 32-bit version of xlive.dll in order to get the game to work
Using the dll from here https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases
renamed to xlive.dll
Had to use https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases xlive.dll to start the game.
Download the DLL rename to xlive.DLL and place in Steam/common/FalloutUltimateCarnage Apply GE 7.9 and Run the launcher pops up and you can get into the game.
Then change controller settings to Xbox 360 controller in the main menu options.
AND change Deck controller layout to Controller with Joystick
Used xlive.dll (from https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/576-bulletstorm-xlivedll/) to get rid of GFWL.
Had to use https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases xlive.dll to start the game.
It sometimes fades to black instead of keeping the race on when finishing, but lets you continue with the game so it's not a big problem as it doesn't affect gameplay at all.

Crashes right away.
Tried with different Proton versions, also some GE.

Launches about 50% of the time
Applied xlive.dll patch
Used both Proton Experimental and 6.3-5. Seems to work more reliably in 6.3-5, but not by much.
Game launches correctly maybe 1/2 the time. The other half, the game does nothing (Click play, steam says running, nothing happens, game changes to not running in steam).
download https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases and rename content to xlive.dll
Game freezes when finishing a race sometimes. Maybe this can be fixed by setting the game to 4:3? https://steamcommunity.com/app/12360/discussions/0/3095635055535488914/
Nothing happens on launch

Works only with xlive.dll
copied https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases as xlive.dll
slow to load
DefaultLimitNOFILE=524288
GPU load: 100% regardless of settings vidmem: 820 MB with best, 320 MB with worst settings sysmem: 460 MB with best, 250 MB with worst settings

Silent crash
slow to load, DefaultLimitNOFILE=524288

Can't run without: To get around GFWL, I recommend the open-source Ultimate ASI Loader: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases
Download the 32-bit version, extract the .dll into the install folder and rename it to xlive.dll
Just crash without error message.

At high settings, I get around 10 FPS, at low settings ~20 FPS. On Windows, it's around 30 FPS on high.
The game crashed at the end of a race one time. This happened on the very first race, and then never again in my hours of gameplay on Proton.
I use Sway, a tiling window manager for Wayland, and surprisingly, the Fullscreen mode in this is handled perfectly fine. Most games crash when you switch to a different desktop, but not this one.
Patched out xlive.dll: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader

Doesn't launch
Proton 5.8-GE-2-MF Command line options "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_USE_SECCOMP=1 PROTON_LOG=1 %command%"
Proton log: https://pastebin.com/Wd1N4hEB
Note game launcher was killed after 5 minutes, but Steam unable to update "stop" button after 10 minutes.
Extract this archive in the game folder: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/576-bulletstorm-xlivedll/
I can see my wallpaper in left and upper corners.
The game will drop to 1 FPS at finish line after a few races. You will have to finish the same race again after restart.
Put those DLLs in game folder: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/576-bulletstorm-xlivedll/

Used https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader for xliveless, performance isn't fantastic but can be dramatically improved to 60fps+ with PROTON_USE_D9VK=1
