Online multiplayer works and inviting friends through steam menu works.
Sometimes audio would simply go away or sound delayed.
Besides the audio issues I came upon, there were some stability issues when it came to frame rate. This game is poorly optimized so even my PC was struggling to get above 40fps. Otherwise there was nothing else that severe.
Didn't really notice any unusual slowdowns with my hardware. Bloons performance usually gets tanked when there's a lot of stuff going on.
Game worked right after installing and I was able to use my dualsense. Sadly the haptics aren't functioning properly and I only felt the adaptive triggers but not the vibration part of it. Otherwise the LEDs seem to be lighting up properly according to what is happening in-game.
Backgound videos don't load, turn them off completly.
Tabbing out of game crashes it, Borderless Windowed is a simple fix.
Laptop: ROG Zephyrus G14, GPU is the RTX 2060 Max-Q.

Background sound for cutscenes are missing, only voices will play properly.
I originally bought both of the games wanting to play for the story but after my experience, it isn't as enjoyable for me. Basically losing cutscenes ruined it for me, but otherwise the game runs just fine with GE. I wasn't able to get it to launch with Proton Experimental though.
Backgrounds in Expiremental don't work, they just show like a weird kind of color bar image. https://toweringdoor.s-ul.eu/TcmuH0gi.png
Using GE Proton7-5 fixed this issue
Might just be my laptop profiling, but timing was really weird compared to when I play on windows. I turned off vsync and changed the low latency mode to High. That seemed to fix the problems with me getting a lot of lates.
Using GE Proton7-9, 7-10 or 7-14 caused the game to not boot and bring up a security error.
ROG Zephyrus G14 running custom kernel for ASUSCTL. Profile mode set to Balanced got around 60-100 with settings cranked to the max.
Using the dll from here https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases
renamed to xlive.dll
Loud pop when starting race, no music at all.
Just dont play this game...
Using GEProton7-14, 64 bit build, and menu from https://github.com/robotboy655/gmod-lua-menu
Originally I had used the CEFCodecFix but it had caused my laptop to crash the majority of the time.
When using native with mods, loading into a map would crash when loading resources.
Using native build with the chromium fix made my experience kind of awful, I tried to pin it down to some of the mods I had installed but nothing came up. I honestly thought it was just some problem with memory because loading playermodels had also locked up my laptop.

Running the game in fullscreen can sometimes result in a black screen. This game must be run on windowed or borderless windowed to work.
The game was hardcapped at 35fps even when my CPU and GPU were not being used to its full potential. I would see my cpu being at 50-60% and my GPU at 70% but I would still be at the very low framerate.
I personally had to use the launch param to get some more frames. But had noticed that whenever I paused the game would instantly go back to the 35fps cap. I found out that my steam friends list had to be set to public, otherwise whenever I paused it would lose all performance. The game still runs worse for me than it did on windows.
Game runs and opens just fine. One tip is that you should preferrably be playing this game on an SSD since the first boot + loading in-game takes super long if you use a 5400/7200RPM HDD.

Since the native version of linux has been discontinued for some time, there isn't any newer content and multiplayer for that client wont work. Switching to the windows version works just fine.
Was able to install and start playing. Microphone was picked up properly and works.
At first the game couldn't open a autosave since it said it was "out of date" but after loading a manual save prior it worked fine and autosaves started to work again.
Besides the little scare of me thinking I lost all my data, the game runs smooth and I never experienced any crashes after 1hr30min.
