Reduced GPU/CPU to ~600Mhz and 5 Watts for Battery Life
Game runs like a charm, absolutely no issues here.

See below
Small error popup shows up the first time the game launches. You need to tick the box with the touchscreen or the mouse with STEAM button and it never shows again. Does not cause any issues in-game
Some artifacts in the background of chapter 2 (when using proton 9-04, don't know if the artifacts are still there with GE)
Some videos couldn't be played before switching to GE
Bugs from running on linux:
Most of the game works out of the box with stock proton (tested with proton9-04). However at the start of the third case an issue that prevented cutscene video playback made me switch to GE-proton9-22, which fixed it. I noticed some artifacts on the background on a few scenes during chapter 2, but since I was using proton9-04 at the time, I don't know if GE fixes them as well.
Fixing the port:
install both TGAA Community patch (https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/dgs_hackfix) and the High-Quality Audio patch (https://gamebanana.com/mods/309458). The first patch fixes several issues with the port, and among other things makes the game less intensive on the CPU, which helps with playing it on the Deck. The second patch is a port of the high-quality tracks audio from older versions of the game.
Performance:
I played the game locked at 30fps (which is the default for the game), but with the TGAA Community patch you can push it to 60 if you want to. The game is not demanding at all to run (especially with the TGAA Community Patch) so my settings to play at constant 30fps were as follows:
- Disable Frame Limit: ON (the game is locked to 30fps by default)
- Allow Tearing: On (use the in-game setting instead)
- TDP Limit: 4w
- Manual GPU clock: 300MHz

Works great out of the box, but I recommend applying some fixes to patch the very basic port.

As noted, the game runs perfectly fine out of the box. However, this is actually a surprisingly poor port for such a lovingly crafted game. I recommend the following fixes/patches/mods:
- dgs_hackfix to enable high framerates and high resolutions. (Don't forget your
WINEDLLOVERRIDES
) - Audio Restoration Mod to get the higher quality music from the 3DS release.
- PS4 Input Mod to get PS4 controller glyphs if you're using a DS4.
Using these patches and mods gave me an absolutely wonderful experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to everyone, and this is probably a superb game to play on your Steam Deck as well.

Character models are missing

Runs flawlessly out of the box, GPU/CPU can be clocked lower to save battery without any visual or performance impact. Is a 30FPS game.

Adjusted power limit to ~8w

Great experience on Deck. Installing mods recommended for better experience, but not necessary
Trackpad as a giant single A button for comfort when laying down
As other reports noted, installing both TGAA Community patch (https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/dgs_hackfix) and the High-Quality Audio patch (https://gamebanana.com/mods/309458) is recommended. The former in particular improves battery life while running at double the framerate, so it's a win-win!
Game plays great docked at 1080p 60fps, really no issues whatsoever

The game will not launch unless using Proton 7.

Characters models are missing. Tried differents versions of Proton and neither solved the problem.
Characters models are missing. Only accessories and eyes are shown.
Tried Proton Experimental, 9.0-1, 8.0-5, 7.0-6, 6.3-8, 5.13-6 and none of those solves the missing models problem. I have no idea how to fix it. A lot of users recommends a certain Reddit guide but it's has been deleted.
Runs perfectly

Worked ootb, had to tinker (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2561839394 https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/dgs_hackfix) to get more than 30fps and a cpu usage that wasn't as high as cyberpunk but it's not inherent to the experience on Linux and is just a showcase Capcom's incompetancy. Great games and worked fine after that nonethelles.

Fixable in Proton-GE with the launch parameter.
Trying to access the bonus video content with Proton 8.0-4 (not GE) crashes the game on both my PC and Steam Deck. With standard Proton-GE the videos show without audio, but by using the launch parameter I provided everything works smoothly.

cant examine some of the evidence because its texture doesnt show up, although i can interact i have no idea what im clicking
Character models only have some face bits, evidence occasionally does not show up while examining
the disembodies faces are hilarious tho
Worked perfect out of the box

The only issues I've seen last a few seconds at most, and can be ignored in Ace Attorney style gameplay
Thermal power limit
Rare crackling. TDP needs to be turned OFF during animated cutscenes or audio and video will desync.
Works great
Amazing game, works perfectly.

Installed both TGAA Community patch and the High-Quality Audio patch https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/dgs_hackfix & https://gamebanana.com/mods/309458
TDP set to 3 watts, runs at 60 FPS no problem. ~5 hours of gameplay
On one occasion had sped-up/crackled audio after messing with sidebar, non-occuring. Prob due to audio patch so download at own risk

Completed first game and started the second in the set. Ran perfectly.
Game runs locked at 30fps -- but it's a visual novel, so it really doesn't make any difference.
Missing characters: only seeing eyes and some accessories
Runs perfectly out of the box
完美运行,可安装汉化包。60帧补丁可能导致黑屏。
Game worked correctly, just had an issue with steam not detecting the controller, turned off generic controlled support and game detected the controller.

Installed the Great Ace Attorney community patch https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/dgs_hackfix and the HQ Audio patch https://gamebanana.com/mods/309458
Changed TDP limit to 3W.
There are no significant differences from running this on Windows.
Inconsistent frame rate (compared to Windows)
Runs perfectly out of the box
Set Framerate Limit to 30. Set Thermal Power(TDP) Limit to 4 Watts. Gives 5-6 hours of battery life.
Run flawlessly, made some changes to extend battery life. Game forces a set 30 fps so you may not need to cap it.

Installed dgs_hackfix (https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/dgs_hackfix). For it to work, it's necessary to use protontricks to run winecfg (protontricks 1158850 winecfg) so that an override for dinput8 could be added (otherwise Proton will use its own version of dinput8). This also improves framerate to 60 as a bonus. Doing so makes makes Steam Deck's fan quiet, and allows improving battery performance without manually lowering TDP.
As above.
Set TDP to 3 watts
You could probably save some battery with some tweaking, since it's not a very graphically demanding game.
Models Not Loading
All the 3D models were missing. The only things that showed up were they eyes and some of the accessories.
Besides the models not loading it, it seem to run just fine. I'm pretty new to Wine and Proton and all that so I don't know how to fix it. I did try running the game with a few different versions of Proton but it didn't seem to make a difference.
TDP: 5 watts, GPU: 400 Mhz.
TPD and GPU can be turned down all the way and still maintain 60 fps during gameplay, but videos will lag and desync from audio. Game will drain battery if TDP is left at default settings.
worked out of box!
