The game allows to choose or create a save game but it won't start after that. The screen becomes grey for a second, then it closes completely. I tried to disable esync, to disable d3d11 or to use wine d3d11 but the game still crashes.
My steam controller is picked up and works in the menu, but the button layout seems weird.
I played the whole demo. Everything works out of the box. I liked playing with the steam controller better than with mouse+keyboard
Played the intro. Performance is great. No tweaks required to get the game running. No changes to the game settings were made. It crashes after playing video sequences, but it can be restarted and continued from where it crashed.
When I just started the game it ran flawlessly: I could load a save game and play for about 15 minutes. No further configuration, most settings set to maximum (no ambient occlusion). I remembered from previous tests that loading save games was an issue back then and so I tried to exit the game and reload it. That did not work at all. I have since been trying to get back into the game but sadly it crashes most of the time when I try to load a saved game. I also tried to start a new game, but that also crashed shortly after playing the first two intro sequences (which I skipped)
The game starts up and can be played with keyboard and mouse. For some reason it skips cinematics. My steam controller is only picked up, when i launch the game from big picture mode. But with the controller connected the game crashes after selecting a save game
Crashes immediately after choosing to start a new game, when a steam controller is connected. Seems to work fine, with controller disconnected (without video sequences etc.).
I played the full demo. It was a great out-of-the box experience. no tinkering required at all.
Upon starting the game a Popup Window claimed that my GPU was not supported. It started anyway, before I could react.
Facial Animations did partially stutter and were not synchronous with the audio.
Played an hour of episode 2. Minor stuttering in the first couple of minutes, especially when the 'saving to disc' symbol appeared. No issues after the first couple of minutes.
veeeeeery slow bethesda logo. seems to hang? disabling esync, d3d11 or using wine d3d11 changes nothing
Does not pick up my steam controller. Everything else works perfectly.
Followed instructions from https://gitlab.com/GloriousEggroll/warframe-linux/tree/steamplay-proton . After that the game just works.
The only thing I had to tweak was changing the startup command to WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command% otherwise some gamesounds were missing. During the first time I played a mission, I noticed some stuttering, but after closing and reopening the game it was running flawlessly.
