non-Steam (official Telltale installer)
More to the fault of Telltale's Tool engine, as same issue happened on their console versions
Frame rate dips during scene transitions and hard cuts
Since Telltale's games are more like movies, the frame rate dips don't ruin the entertainment value as more involved games
Some brief freezing and stuttering.
I had to downgrade to Proton 4.2 to get it to run; 5.x doesn't even start the game.
Nothing happen
Occasional stuttering.
DirectX Error
Occasional stuttering disabling esync helps but not by much.
Played an hour of episode 2. Minor stuttering in the first couple of minutes, especially when the 'saving to disc' symbol appeared. No issues after the first couple of minutes.
Every time a new shader is used, there's a significant pause (up to 3 seconds). For the most part, this is manageable, but it can interfere with the QTE events. My Steam Controller is also not detected. It's playable, but a bit more stressful than intended due to the shader issue. Note: All settings on high, except DOF which is on medium.
Significant stuttering, with some lengthy pauses during scenes with a lot of shaders. It gets better, but it's never great. Also didn't detect my 360 pad. It's playable, but YMMV based on your tolerance for iffy framerates.
Poor performance on highest settings, fixed by using low settings. Menu freezes when switching to fullscreen from window mode. Fixed by left clicking with mouse. Bad stuttering when a scene starts but gets better over time. Non game-breaking graphical artifacting https://imgur.com/a/OdZ09t4
