VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/amd_icd64.json %command%
on -dx11: FSR Mode only rendered HUD, Scaling Off showed everything in white exept black outlines, only TSR rendered a normal image on -dx12 (default): all modes worked as intented
-dx11 launch option made the game run in crowed areas with ~20fps on Low, dx12 runs smooth
WITHOUT VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/amd_icd64.json my game crashed when starting a new game or loading a savefile - my whole system frooze and it needed to take some time to get the hang of it, also it showed a lot of artifacts
as mentioned: i needed to use VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/amd_icd64.json in my launch options to get dx12 running - dx11 is a mess
In my case without tinkering the game was almost unplayable. Others may not have these issues.
env OPENSSL_ia32cap=~0x20000000 PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
the game seems to have problems with Intel CPUs of 10-13s gen to fix that: "env OPENSSL_ia32cap=~0x20000000" must be set. Thanks to this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2538025880

If you are getting stutters try: Deactivate Motion Blur InGame, FPS Lock on 60, go to [...]/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1693980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Dead Space (2023)/cache/ and delete all contents, let the game rebuild the shaders most stutters should be gone now
without memory leak the game works ootb
revert to mesa 23.1.5 or wait for the next mesa version as a fix for this memory leak is already merged
as an Example on Arch i reverted my driver like this:
pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/m/mesa/mesa-1%3A23.1.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/lib32-mesa/lib32-mesa-1%3A23.1.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/lib32-vulkan-radeon/lib32-vulkan-radeon-1%3A23.1.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/v/vulkan-radeon/vulkan-radeon-1%3A23.1.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
Without GE-Proton: Startup Logos and Tutorial Videos won't play
on pipewire, the game choose pipewire audio server as default microphone making my real mic unusable (in the game and other programms aswell) even after i closed the game until i restarted my whole system. This bug seems to be triggered during missions, if the audio server is selected as microphone, be sure to switch your microphone in the main menu before loading in a mission
on kde plasma: in borderless fullscreen, my taskbar flashed to front and back, fixed with exclusive fullscreen

the game frooze my entire System after 20-30 minutes, using GE-Proton8-4 and Gamescope with "-e" parameter and the Ingame Option for DirectX 12 to "Yes" fixed these Problems. Sessions for 4 Hours with no Problems. So im assuming its running flawless now
The mentioned steps fixed all Problems for my PC and Steam Deck
