Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF
Online very rarely works if you're lucky enough to get past the lobby list but definitely crashes after a few games.
You might have to kill your compositor. I also add some launch commands to make sure there isn't any mouse acceleration just to be safe.
-no-browser -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd
If you're experiencing odd performance problems exclusively on linux then try disabling your compositor. If I don't kill picom the game is borderline unplayable but if I kill picom the game performs basically the same as it does on windows. It might even be a little bit better.
ran absolutely awful even on low settings but I'm guessing my i5-7600K is the culprit here
For some reason the native linux port started acting weird. But it works without any problems with steamplay
It's perfectly playable but the stuttering and slowdowns can kill the enjoyment for some people.
During cutscenes and at the beginning of each section the game stutters to the point where it's unplayable. Waiting for a little bit fixes it until there's some new section to load. Cutscenes are still understandable but they play at around 5fps.
gamemoderun %command% PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
I don't know how or why but for some unholy reason, with my setup, with my settings, this game stutters to the point of being unplayable on windows but is actually playable on linux. Usually with games that run this unstable on windows I experience insane performance problems on linux. But not with this one and it confuses me to no end. It still stutters a lot but it's actually bearable.
Without gloriouseggroll the space skybox doesn't render properly and does that trail thing windows xp used to do. Works just fine with GE.
the same fix i had to do on windows by doing "WINEPREFIX=/path/to/pfx wine *.msi" in the same folder wm11 downloads the installers in
very rarely some cutscenes will have repeating/delayed audio but the same problem occurs on windows as well
it refused to do 144hz 1080p for a while but after trying it over and over again it finally worked and hasn't caused any problems afterwards
stuttering at the beginning of each level but it's fine afterwards
crashed once
played the whole campaign co-op and it worked flawlessly
Should be fine on a better pc. On my system it stutters too much.
On my hardware it's unplayable and it runs much better on windows. If you have a high-end pc it should be smooth for you.
the overall performance is good but you might have to lower the graphics for certain things
very rarely the game completely freezes
when you're hosting a minigame there's a significant stutter problem
Stopped working after the last update
instantly crashes on normal proton, trying to launch with gloriouseggroll shows an error box claiming directx and vsruntime2015 aren't installed even if they are
occasionally gets borked by updates but works fine now if you don't mind a little bit of stutter
The multiplayer didn't work no matter which version of proton I tried using and no matter who was hosting.
The performance is definitely worse than it is on windows but not enough to prevent it from being enjoyable.
minor audio stutters on heavy scenes
Multiplayer wasn't functional before, it is now.
