It loaded one time and then it just refused to load at all times, but something weird happened
Actually it's loading, but the loading screen won't go away and you can even press buttons and hear button clicks, not sure if that's issue of the game or because of proton
No hiccups, no stability issues, nothing that would make experience not enjoyable.
Crashed on 6.3-8 proton, but worked flawlessly on 5.13-6
Excellent support. As if they actually played on linux and made it compatible with proton.
Not sure if it's a proton, game or plain not speaking players issue, but sometimes i can't hear others (happened after an hour of playing). Not sure if it's even an issue, can't confirm yet
No anticheat so far, no issues with ping, or random stuff. Just works.
Used vkbasalt to apply MSAA on top of image instead of TAA Overall works good, but freezes on dx12 are annoying, hope they will get fixed
ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 %command%
On dx12 with vkd3d i have frequent freezes, but high overall fps
On dx11 i have lower overall fps but no freezes
Multiplayer works quite well even on really high ping (300 ping and it is still very much playable)
Unstable ping though may cause problems and frequent teleportations
50-90 fps on dx11 and 70-120 on dx12 (excluding freezes) during typical game

Probably default installation won't work prefectly like mine did. But if you want like that, look here: https://pastebin.com/heg8GVG5
Proton-GE-6.8-2 GloriousEggroll
Using single prefix with all stuff installed (like dotnet 4.8, various fonts and etc) which i use for most of my library games - works perfectly. No issue, no glitches, no freezes, fonts are fine. Haven't tried modding yet. No command line pasting, it just worked. I usually use Proton-GE, currently it's Proton-GE-6.8-2
Runs after removing mono and using cleanup tool for .NET 4.0, dont install .NET 4.0 before that. Fps is roughly the same as in the windows, haven't installed .net 4.7.2 yet due to problems, i think it would run better.
I found a good solution for all .net problems, it's pretty simple. According to that thread : https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26757 you have to apply registry fix for your wineprefix (WINEPREFIX=your/path/to/prefix/in/compatdata/pfx wine reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Version" /v 6.1.7601.17592 /t REG_SZ /d "foo" /f). Elite dangerous works perfectly after that. After that most of the problems with installing and using dotnet (even 4.7.2) are solving by itself, only when launching game some errors appearing , but you just need to skip them and all will be good
Requires gtx1070+ or rx 580+ to run without requent freezes
Too long loading for objects sometimes, waiting for minutes to load up chunks
Sometimes can crash, but after crashing and launching again will work for a long time (didn't crash once after that)
Wait for first updates to both proton/vulkan and game to iron out issues with performance
eval $( echo "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" | sed "s/PDLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe'.*/KSP2_x64.exe'/" )
Wined3d at it's finest, nothing unusual there
Use borderless, sometimes can be blacked out but if you switch back-forth it will come back
Quite poor performance, not using wined3d makes things even worse. Around 15-20 at KSC/VAB/Launchpad, 25-35 in space. Low or high settings didn't change fps so i stayed at high. 1600x900 resolution. Using FSR would be probably better.
Working out of box, but requires decent gpu to handle 30+ players game without frequent freezes
Mouse capture doesnt work properly when switched from another monitor without alt+tab
It can be caused by my GPU by itself
Requires PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% to be set in launch options, or else game won't start or will infinitely load. Other than that, works fine. On medium settings gtx 1060 (3 gb) was giving 30-60 fps
Requires PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 to be set, it would lag a little bit and then will work fine.
Else it would work fine for 5-10 mins and then lag horribly (AMD gpu)
Proton, PoL, Lutris (with some exception) doesnt work
Tried everything, proton, 32bit prefix, PoL/Lutris installs, nothing working properly. One time lutris worked, but it crashed after launching singleplayer/multiplayer game. Game really doesnt work properly.
Doesn't start game, returns to menu just when game launches. Game launches for a fraction of a second and drops to menu.
Nvidia drivers was vulkan beta, but i tested on usual drivers (not nouveau) - same thing. Multiple proton versions, including GE 5.4-5.5 was used to test, nothing helps. No errors in dxvk logs, no crashes or etc. Something happened with engine update to ue 4.24 for sure.
Game works fine with pre-release proton build with fix for steam p2p
Soon there will be an update for Proton and it will include that fix. Right now you can use that pre-release build to play it in case you want. Both beta and release works fine. https://github.com/stevenlafl/Proton/releases/tag/proton-5.0-7-sockets004
Works pretty much flawlessly with fix for multiplayer applied, aside for vram usage issue
Proton-6.8-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Used Proton-6.8-GE-2 with protontricks 275850 win7
, otherwise multiplayer wouldn't work
Most likely would work fine with proton 6.3 too (with fix above applied for multiplayer)
Probably due to low vram, it was shuttering at mid settings (goes exponentially worse with complexity increase)
For some reason, menu cursor is inverted in vertical axis with vive controller
Only lags if i go near black holes with tons of light, but that's expected given my hardware
Everything works perfectly fine, mouse glitch in fullscreen/windowed mode fixed in 4.11-10 proton,
In the main lab and "labs" very low fps (and because of that - jerky movement of camera, very unpleasant)
Doesn't work for some reason with 6.3+ proton
