Only thing I've had issues with is the low audio volume, but people seem to report that on Windows as well.
Stuck on XIGNCODE3 screen
The game used to die, but now using Proton Experimental it just displays the XIGNCODE3 window forever.
Force VSync
Switching between windowed and fullscreen might cause a crash
Window or Bordeless Window works best at max FPS limit and forced VSync via dxvk.conf
Runs terribly (on all platforms) on current game patch.
They really need to work on the game performance, it used to be fine but is unaplayable in its current state.
Does not launch with normal Proton
You'll have to use Proton GE for the launcher to work
Proton GE and window resizing
Despite all the "works" reports; the game does not work with any Proton version and should not have the "Gold" status.
You will have to install the unofficial Proton GE version, which at that point works pretty okay.
And I also recently noticed that there are some problems with resizing some windows, as the mouse cursor will shoot to the lower right corner while resizing.
Does indeed work now, but no BGA
Missing background video
The game now works with Proton Experimental (not GE tho.). But the background videos during play are always missing, showing a test screen instead. I'm on a 144hz monitor and on Windows the game runs perfectly smooth, but there's some very noticeable stutter when using Proton.
The videos are all working now, and there's no stutter anymore.
Native version runs at 30 FPS, while the Windows version via Proton runs at over 90 FPS.
--use-d3d11
Fullscreen behaves oddly
Start the game with the --use-d3d11 launch parameter to avoid crashes
Maybe 10 less FPS than on Windows, if even that.
Multiplayer does not work
Since update 2 I keep getting "Could not join lobby No internet connection"
Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
protontricks 2310 win7
Run "protontricks 2310 win7
" and multiplayer magically works
Runs but very poorly the first run
A ton of stuttering as shaders, models and other effects are loaded in
Spawn every character in the menu to reduce stuttering
Running worse
The initial stuttering due to shaders and such being compiled has become worse. You used to be able to play a match on a newly installed version (despite massive stuttering), but you will now be disconnected during the first couple of matches due to all the stuttering resulting in a complete freeze for the first minute. And Steam's supposedly already compiled 100% of the Quake Champions shaders, which I doubt is true.
Main menu stays black forever
The main menu stays black forever, sometimes displays an image but freezes after a while
Use the native RuneScape client from the homepage instead
Stuck on loading screen
Game will not progress beyond the initial loading screen
It's perfect
Not found a single issue
(I have not tested using a gamepad)
No "native cursor" when running the native version
So I was having horrible mouse lag when using the native Linux version (which btw did not launch via Steam, I had to execute the binary myself). But if you run the game via Proton it starts just fine AND you get the "native cursor" option in "Video" settings, which gets rid of the mouse lag.
Javascript error
Instantly displays a Javascript error at start. I've tried every Proton - including GE - and nothing has worked. The Public Beta of the game also doesn't work with any Proton version.
