The game has a 90fps cap by default. You can increase the capped framerate like so: www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Batman:_Arkham_Knight#High_frame_rate
I was able to 100% the story.
You can edit the games config file for slighty higher graphics. More info: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Batman:_Arkham_Origins#Shadow_artifacts_on_Batman.27s_cape.2C_blurry_shadows.2C_textures_load_improperly.
The game doesn't have an option to change mouse sensitivity. Go to Batman Arkham Origins/SinglePlayer/BMGame/Config/Bminput.ini and look for MouseSensitivity=30.0. Value of 8.0 worked for me.
Some scenes heavily drop the framerate, mainly in the Blackgate prison. Could be due to NVIDIA PhysX.
I was able to 100% the story mode.
Crashed once throughout my 6 hours of playing.
Launching the game through Steam will not work. You have to open the games local files in your preferred file manager and opening "Fishy2.exe" with wine.
Your friends hate you.
Used a DualShock 4. Steam Input was required to make it work. After launching I had to manually select all controller binds.
Playing with VSync disabled makes the game very unstable (etc. some levels always crash at the same point with VSync disabled, many levels unbeatable on very high framerates.)
Was able to play the game with 2 DualShock 4 controllers just fine.
I was able to 100% the game.

Sometimes textures load at a very low resolution or fail to load completely. Restarting the game will fix this.
Mouse sensitivity slider does almost nothing, I could only play at very high sensitivities. Changing mouse sensitivity system wide did not fix this. Some keybindings (camera) are not in the game settings.
Occasional stutters when switching scenes. Heavy performance drops when playing without upscaling, DLSS or likewise recommended for now.
Only tested the first few hours of the game.
Game runs extremely well. 50 hours without any major issues.
Got some slight stuttering after the latest kernel update. Overall game ran extremely well with 0 crashes.
Performance was overall fantastic with a great game to boot.
Runs as well as on Windows
Had absolutely no issues to speak of after around 10 hours. Even voice recognition worked which surprised me.
Overall a very enjoyable exprerience. Expect to turn down the settings even with a competent pc, still not a very well optimised game. I did not use VR which may have issues of it's own.
The games launcher is broken on newer systems. You can bypass the launcher by renaming "game.exe" to "ASMLauncher.exe". You can also use the patched launcher made for TASM2, which also works with TASM1. Link: https://github.com/Aemony/Skip-ASM2Launcher
If you bypass the launcher you will not be able to change the games settings. To change them you need to use regedit:
- Open your terminal and type "protontricks 212580 --gui" (212580 is the games Steam ID)
- "Select the default wineprefix" -> "Run regedit"
- Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Activision/ASM/Settings/Display"
- Change "QualitySettings" to "275025" (Highest settings from what I remember, put in decimal, not hexadecimal)
- Change "Heigh" and "Width" to change resolution (NOTE: I was not able to launch the game at higher than 1920x1080)
- Change "AspectRatio" to "2" for 16:9
- Change "MaxAniso" to "2"
- Optional: Change "VSync" to "0" for off, "1" for on.
Shadows can become flickery in the open world. Occasional z-fighting is present.
Alt-tabbing can freeze the game. Use Gamescope inside Steam or Lutris to fix.
When using keyboard and mouse, most inputs (excluding mouse and some modifier keys) will show as "1". As long as you know what key you're supposed to press this is a non-issue. Possible solution would be to use a controller.
Some scenes will always slow down the game regardless of your hardware. Possible fix could be to install the "4GB patch". Link: https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/
- Open the .exe
- Select "game.exe" from the The Amazing Spider-Man folder inside the gui.
Game may crash when completing missions in the open world, happens on all platforms.
Conclusion: I was able to 100% the game.
Works fine
Slight audio Crackling in the menus. Fine when ingame.
When in pause menu and you tab out, game will sometimes not let you tab back in. Completely random.
Crashed a few times when shaders were not done compiling. Let shaders compile for a more stable experience.
Played both Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy. Slight stability issues but still an enjoyable experience.
